All those waiting for the decision: I am sure you will be able to equal if not better the R1 record. Good luck to you!

What :?: :!: nobody is going to keep me company in counting down the days? :(

So, we are at D (as in Decision Day) - 18 now right? :)

And sperinko, even if you dont get an interview, there is a possibility that you will be put on WL. So, dont assume that you will get DINGed.

I am staring at a big fat DING at this point, with no interview invite.

No no, hold on for another week. Cmon, they don't need three bloody weeks to finalize decisions. Keeping my fingers crossed for you (and me) ...
they supposedly go until the deadline day, and even if they don't, I suspect they really only need a few days. I would assume they assign a "score" to each applicant and adjust the list after every interview, so they need at most 2-3 days. So you have at least 2 weeks. Absolutely no reason to count yourself out at this point :)

I agree that there are still will be more interview invites. It is interesting theory about assigning scores to each applicant and afterward making the list of admits based on score points. :)
I think that they should make several groups based on country of origin, WE and etc. in order to ensure the diverse class. Am I wrong?

I have no idea how they do it. I was just surmising that if I were to run an admissions board, having a weighted score would be the most efficient way for me to go about it. And it seemed logical enough that other organizations (like Ross) might use the same general concept.

Before my interview, I checked this Ross thread for the R1 interview experience. Compiled alist of questions and prepared for their answers. If my memory serves me right you can find all the R1 interview experience before page 30 of this thread. accepted.com also has a section where applicants share insights.

As a heads up, they only have your resume and ask general questions. Mine was on campus with a 2nd year student... I don't know how different your situation will be due to the consortium status. I'd recommend PMing skaballet for that.

Cheers

I might be the last one to have gotten a Ross invite in R1. I got the invite on the 12th or 13th of December, about a month before the deadline. But Ross usually has a significantly higher number of applicants in R2 (last year, 800 vs 2000). So invites could go on for much longer.

ok, now that i have stopped freaking out...

apparently i received the initial invitation on 2/5
i called that week, and received an email on 2/11 from an adcom assistant stating my application is "under review"
despite the fact that i should have some sort of mark on my file that says "invited to interview"

so something was quite glitchy.... not only that, i've been checking my spam folder with no luck

i hope i get in cuz being in california is driving me crazy (plus its been raining non-stop so the weather-benefit is nil)
i'm ready to move on outta here...

sorry if i sound a bit pissy :? i am just hoping this does not negatively affect my chances (i need a screaming face here)

good luck to everyone still waiting ... and i'm having 2 gigantic cream puffs to celebrate!

Hey livingfossil,

did you have the interview with an adcom or a student? Most of us had ours with a student but from your posts it sounds like you had yours with an adcom
