I have not officially decided to apply but one of my fellow managers went to Michigan and has almost convinced me to apply. From everything I have read they have pretty decent placement in IB. Not sure how good they are for real estate IB though. 710 GMAT 3.6 GPA blah, blah, blah...we are all great in our own ways. did you have the interview with an adcom or a student? Most of us had ours with a student but from your posts it sounds like you had yours with an adcom

that correct, it was an adcom
the students are on spring break

my interview was fairly laid back
it was 30 min and ran 15 overtime so total 45 min
she did not grill me at all
just asked questions and let me ramble on

was tough to get a sense of how she would evaluate me given i had no other such interviews

I could not hold it together anymore and called the Admissions office. She told me that interview invitations do go out till the last date and they are not done interviewing yet.

good news for folks like me waiting for an interview invite. :-D

Guys need some help here. I was waitlisted at Michigan in the first round. Do you think it could be due to a D grade that I got in economics in my first year of undergrad? I had explained my not so stellar grades in the first year in my optional essay. But could this be one of the reasons? Also what can I now do to overcome this? Is it possible to take a module in economics in a local university. I am actually in Singapore, and I don't know how I can do it here. I can give updates to Michigan regarding my waitlist. How do I address this issue? Do I talk about it in my update? Any ideas are most welcome!

I don't think you got waitlisted because of only one grade and I don't think one grade will get you off the waitlist. So I think you should try to improve some other parts of your application.

I suppose this is the last week before both the results are coming out. So not so much wait is remained. I also noticed that there are not any more interview slots in interview page. Does it means that they have done with interviews and currently are busy with making decisions?

My wife has very limited vacation time, so I would rather not come a day early. The only flights that get me there by early afternoon actually get me there about 5 am, and involved red eye flights with no sleep. I don't sleep well crammed into a tiny airplane seat. Oh well, I may just be groggy the first day.

Nah, I don't think so. spidey mentioned that he called ad-com right? They said that they were still conducting interviews. They'll probably spend next week making the final decisions.

Edit: We are at D-10 and counting...
