No you have to retake it...you come from a tough demographic...

oh wait! you are asking about FICO (its actually FAKO on freecreditreport.com)!!!! Yes that is pretty good...

Darden2010
so what is a good score? I got sevenhundred something out of 830, that is good, right?

oh and it says "you score is higher than 57.6% of US customers" .... dang 57 percentile is 560 on the GMAT :)

So do you think I will be able to lease a car with this score, or do I have to re-take it?

Yes you should be ok. You should get some competitive rates.

Can we put together like an AA Housing links, tips and recommendations section on the first post of this thread? I for one am clueless about the good places, and I could use some help and tips on what places to check out.

strange, over 700 is pretty good for FICO score, not sure why it's only in the 60th percentile area...

Well I guess about 40% of the people have pretty good credit scores. The credit score is different from the GMAT, in a way that with the credit score you compete only against yourself, while with the GMAT you compete with others. So for example everybody with credit score ove 700 can probably lease a car, while everyody with a GMAT score over 700 cannot enter an ultra-elite school :))

Nob Hill is the second most popular.

I was just checking out their apartments, and they are really small. Probably fine for 1 person, but not for my wife and I. Maybe we are just spoiled.

I am in the same boat as well. I have always found some pretty newly constructed apartments to live in. I noticed that most of the apartments in AA are pretty old. I did not like Nob Hill based on what I have seen on the web. Woodburry seems ok but you should take a look at Lake Village- seems decent and a little spacious. Are you looking for a 1BD or 2?

2 if possible. Could do a 1 bedroom if it had an office/den/study/whatever they want to call it. Our current apartment is 950 sq feet. It is moderately old, but has in unit w/d and dishwasher. I don't think I can give those up.

We are leaning towards a 1BD and maybe a 1BD with a den (what we have currently). We have a W/D and are thinking about moving with the set. I "think" most apartments expect you to lease a w/d, atleast thats what our apartments in Cincy expected us to do. So instead of paying $40 a month and get nothing out of it, we decided to buy a set :)
but yeah, w/d and dishwasher are a minimum for us as well.

Right now I like the looks of Woodbury Gardens and Lake Villiage. However I need to check out how close they are to campus and investigate transit options. I would really prefer to be able to walk to campus, but that might not be an option.

Hi guys, I have found this website very helpful for finding out about bus connections between apartments and b-school: https://routes.aata.org/hiwire

For
1. Enter your starting point
first select APTS/CONDOS from the pull down meny
a new meny will appear where you can select the apartment complex that you are interested in

For
2. Enter your destination
first select U of M from the pull down meny
a new meny will appear where you can select "UM College of Business"

and than just click on Plan a Trip

My host pointed out that if you plan to go out frequently living close to campus makes it MUCH nicer so you can stumble home and don't have to worry about it :) This was something that I hadn't thought of, but am almost dead set on living in a house close to campus now. May not be as much of an issue since I think a lot of you are married, but just putting it out there.....

Hey guys, what about the apartments on offer by Varsity Management (https://varsitymanagement.com/)? The apartments on offer do *look* pretty nice, but the prices aren't listed :? Any word from the current students on these?

Count me in on the bandwagon everybody! While I have been waitlisted at Kellogg and Sloan, I am planning on dropping off them and moving forward with my Ross admit. As a huge football fan who is looking to create close bonds with my classmates while receiving a well-rounded general management education, I believe Ross is near perfect for my goals. I can't wait to meet you all!
