accepted 2/15!

was very surprised they were releasing decisions on a public holiday. i actually woke up that morning after dreaming i didn't get in!

Congrats. Some others on the forum reported a deposit deadline of 3/4. Can I ask when your deposit is due?

No doubt they have reviewed your application, so take heart that you haven't been dinged out of hand. That being said, it's not a good sign that at this point you haven't been offered an interview or waitlisted. I am in a similar situation with Stanford and HBS, and it sucks. I would prefer to have an answer one way or the other, so I can begin to plan for the future. Informing applicants at the deadline does all of us who worked so hard and poured our hearts in to those essays and the GMAT, a disservice.

I think i've come across a couple of people (on these boards) that were dinged after interview.

I interviewed on 1/28 (went complete 2/1) and no news yet ... definitely not a good sign given how fast some others have received admits after their interviews.

Thank you David2008. My interview went complete on Feb 4 and I feel that as time passes my chances become slim.

I am an international applicant, does anyone know if the CBS ADCOM waits for all candidates from my country to finish their respective interviews before making a decision?

In case you guys were equally confused by the ambiguous 'please schedule the interview within two weeks', I just called the admissions office to elucidate:

You have to set up a time to meet within two weeks of getting the notification. The interview itself does not have to take place within two weeks.

I'm in a similar situation, clearly we are not super highly desirable, but we haven't been rejected yet. Although, I'm not sure if many people have been rejected yet, they say 2 people read your apps, maybe the second person has just not read my app yet... the only good way to look at it is, we are in a pool of maybes/ lets see who else we get in to compare them to... but i would have to imagine some decision soon

A few weeks ago I was researching the timing for the schools I applied to, and found the following online about Columbia's RD deposit deadline:

"2. What is the deposit deadline for regular applicants?

Deposit deadlines for Regular Decision applicants this year will be as follows:

For all applicants admitted up through February 18, 2010 the deposit deadline is Thursday, March 4.

For all applicants admitted from February 19 through April 2, 2010 the deposit deadline is Friday, April 16.

All applicants admitted after April 2 will have 2 weeks from their admission notification to submit their deposit."


Problem is, I don't remember the source, and I've been googling like crazy and I can't find it anymore.

Does anybody know anything about this?
