To all those who were accepted as reapplicants:
First, congratulations. I applied early decision this year, got an interview, was placed on the waitlist, and was promptly dinged on jan. 6th. (the deadline for fellowships).
I had a 710 gmat, but a low gpa (sub 3.0). I believe my essays, recs, and work history were decent, otherwise I think I would have been dinged outright.
I'd just like some advice on how to tackle the reapp. Personally, I think it's difficult to show tons of improvement in the space of one year, so I was wondering what you guys highlighted in your essay? (work experiences, extra curriculars, or something else?).
I did retake my gmat and got a 760 (3rd time). Hopefully that helps, but since i had to take it three times, i'm sure that will factor in.
Thanks in advance!
