Hi folks -
Had my interview today - alum, off-campus, lasted exactly an hour. We started with a relatively informal chat, then progressed to a more structured list of questions (he literally pulled out a print-out with a list on it), and finished with my questions.
Questions:
- Walk me through your resume
- Why Columbia
- What did you look for in the schools you were applying to
- How will an MBA get you where you want to go
Then from the list:
- Situation in which you had difficulty working with someone and how you resolved it
- Situation that exemplifies your leadership style
- Situation in which you disagreed with a decision and how you handled it
- How did you choose your undergraduate institution
- What do you do in your free time
I wished I'd prepared a couple more examples, and more questions for him. Hope this helps
