Hi all -- hoping for some advice.
I only applied to a few schools, and have dinged out of all of them *except* for Columbia, with whom I interviewed a few weeks ago. Since Columbia values yield rate so highly, would it make sense to inform AdCom of my situation in some subtle way?
On one hand, I'm sure they'd be interested to know, because if they accept me, I'm going -- and that's valuable yield info. But on the other, I'm afraid it would make me look like a weaker candidate, which is complicated by the fact that I'm already considered an "oddball" candidate in that I had a poor undergraduate GPA (though I believe the rest of my application, including GMAT / WE / extracurriculars / life and career story are quite strong).
Some schools give guidance that they more or less never want to hear from candidates (e.g. Wharton), others encourage you to keep in touch (e.g. Tuck), but I haven't seen similar guidance for Columbia.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, and good luck everyone...
