There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I interviewed on March 8th and the 12 weeks since my application was submitted expires next Wednesday. Would you think that the longer I go without hearing, the more likely it is I will receive a ding or WL? Or does the timeline really have no effect?

Maybe I'm being optimistic since my 12 weeks is up the same time as yours, but I think it's more likely WL. It seems from the forum that the dings find out pretty quickly after the interview. Just a guess though.
I'm at 16 business days since my interview and tomorrow is exactly 12 weeks from my application submission. I saw a previous poster mention that your decision deadline may be extended if you were interviewed? Is this true?
All I know is that the gentleman on the phone at the CBS admissions office told me I might have to wait up to two more weeks past the stated 12 since I was interviewed. I interviewed in the first week of February. I don't even want to count how many business days it's been.
also, in response to previous thread about the wait, i just dont think you can read too much into it, aside from the stated 12 weeks from under review.
i interviewed 2/13 and interview went complete on my app by 2/15. still waiting to hear. they technically have another 3 weeks to report a decision because my app went under review 1/25 (i submitted on 1/7)
14-15 weeks, eh? If I submit my application this coming weekend, that means it'll be middle/end of July at the latest when I'll get a decision. By then, I will most likely have already signed my lease in Ann Arbor and getting ready to move there. Interesting. Indeed. FML.

it would make sense to think that they are currently facing a huge wall of applicants that submitted on Jan 5-7th or so. probably a very high % of applicants in a very short window of time. and these will all presumably be through the system in a couple weeks.
