does CBS do all interviews at nyc only?

I currently live in Poland, bit worrying if I have to shell out a $1k+ to fly out to NYC

Have they done it in other large cities, London, Paris, Frankfurt?

You can interview with the closest alumni to your home town. There were quite a few in my home town of Sydney. I'm sure there'd be one or more in Poland.

How long after my recommendations have been submitted does my application status go to "complete/under review". A few weeks?

I have a question regarding CBS' gpa conversion scale.

I did my undergrad in India, and if I convert according to their scale, the university topper would get a gpa of 1.3.

and i would have a gpa of 0

Anybody knows how to handle this?

The "Check application status" link on the CBS homepage (https://www4.gsb.columbia.edu/mba/learnmore/checkapp) leads back to the same 'applyyourself' page with the submission status. I'm assuming it's a common location and status updates will appear here itself.

I submitted 27/12 and my app went under view on 30/12.
but actual review will only start after 6 jan right? and how many weeks should I wait before i start worrying that an interview call should come?

I'm pretty sure they read before jan 6. Last year I got interview call on jan 7 and I had submitted oct 30 or so (RD). You should get a reply within 12 weeks of submission is what they say, considering you submitted already, you can expect by feb itself...> 50% of RD applies in jan I heard.

Hı guys

I ordered the gmat score for columbıa today. they say ıt takes up to three weeks for the school to receıve ıt doesı ıt mean they would move my applıcatıon?

Is anyone else having problems with the formatting on their "awards" open-ended question of the Education Information section? All the rest are fine and I don't have an extra spaces or returns, but for some reason it's getting cut off funny.

Help!! :shock:

Does Columbia send you a separate status check website at any point, or is the only place you are ever able to check the ApplyYourself site?

I believe for Columbia they don't need the official report.

is there any reason to get my app in by jan 6th other than the note about financial aid consideration?

** Applicants who wish to be considered for a merit-based fellowship must submit a complete application by 11:59PM EST on January 6, 2010. Fellowship recipients for the September class are announced between January and May.

i have my app pretty much done except for the 2nd essay (which i've outlined and will finish by tmw).. the other essays need some polishing up but are pretty much done. my 2 recommenders haven't submitted the LORs yet, but i can/will remind them to submit by wed night - only if it's worth it though.

any thoughts?
