I doubt this too serious, but then if you wish to rest easy you may send a mail to adcom apologizing for the mistake

So after I submitted my app, I noticed that I had made two somewhat minor errors

-I mentioned that I had been promoted 2 months faster than I actually had been promoted
-My 2008 bonus was off by ~$30

Am I crazy to think that anyone will care that these are off, or should I try to call Admissions today and figure out what to do...? I just don't want to set off any red flags if I ever get to the background check. Or should I just wait and see if I do get in and then figure it out then...?

I think you're overreacting a bit. I don't think these two minor details will raise any red flags during a background check. They usually check for big things, such as your GMAT scores, college and work experience. You can email the adcom if you want, but I don't really think it's worth it. If I were the adcom, I'd probably find it kinda annoying to get emails about such minor things. I'm sure a lot of people notice slight mistakes after they had in their apps in. Can you imagine if everyone decided to send an email.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback--I decided not to call them. I agree--it's so minor and the difference isn't going to mean the difference between an acceptance and a ding, I would hope, so I'm resting relatively easy.

Thanks again, and good luck everyone.

haha yeah i chose to err on the side of caution and contacted my recommenders, and asked them to submit by jan 6 aka $$$ deadline. one already submitted today; the other was having issues receiving the LOR email. im going to check back with him tomorrow if he still didnt get the email, at which point i'll have to call up CBS and ask if they can help out with this minor technical issue.

my 2nd essay is just about done...the rest are 90% done (just need some minor tweaking). i think i'll be ready to submit by tomorrow night. good luck everyone.

Just hit the submit button for RD. No more applications for me, feels great to be "done" - at least temporarily. Now it's on to the CFA Level 2. What a fun life ...

My app now says "Your application will be put under review on January 6, 2010."

So am I correct in determining that within 12 weeks of January 6, I will have a final answer about Columbia. From my calendar, it looks like that is March 31.

If I get interviews at these schools I am going to be a basketcase the last 2 weeks of March/1st week of April. Yikes.

mine says this too. It's unclear to me whether this will actually change to "Application Under Review" since this status in limbo was not mentioned in the application instructions anywhere, which just say the options are: In process, Received, Incomplete, Application Under Review, Invited to Interview, Complete, and Final Decision is Rendered.

Hm. Oh well--guess we'll see!!!

EDITED at 1 PM--actually now it says it's under review. Guess that answers that question!!!! Let the 12 week period begin.

It says under review now. I submitted my application in early october, and judging by last year's thread, I think interview invites begin as soon as this week.

Its gonna be a long 12 weeks otherwise!

People in the BW forum are talking about something called "Super Saturday". Does anyone have any idea what that is?
