Profile:
- International applicant in the Middle East.
- 31 / M / 8 yrs WE (mainly in Energy) / 700 GMAT / 3.1 Engineering GPA (Top US school).

Just got my interview invite last night, have the option of on campus interview or phone/skype. I live in texas, so it will be a bit of a pain for me to get to LA in the next two weeks, normally I would do it anyway no questions asked, BUT, I have actually already visited campus, done a class visit ect. My question is, how much of an advantage do you think it is to get to campus again and do it in person, or do you think a skype interview would be just as good since I've already visited the school.

I had the same question.

I was only given the option of a phone/skype interview. Although I would prefer this, do you think that it would be advantageous to request a campus visit and fly to LA in the next 2 weeks? I live in the Middle East.

Thoughts anyone? Thanks!

Hey all-

I got an email last night inviting to interview. Keep up hope! Just curious, do you think I should interview as early as possible? Will it hurt my chances the longer I wait? I'm going to be on the road when they open up interviews, and I'd rather be back home when I talk to someone. If I waited, it would be almost at the end of the interview round, and it makes me break out in a cold sweat thinking about people taking up slots because they interviewed earlier. Thoughts? If you haven't visited the campus and USC is at the top of your list, then you should mention this to them and see if you have a campus interview option.

In terms of your chances of getting in, it won't make a difference as they realize you are in the Middle East.

Request a campus interview for YOUR benefit of seeing the school but not if you think it will increase your chances of getting in.

Still no news here - I guess I'm pretty much out. A little surprised to not even get an interview, but this whole thing is a crapshoot in the end.

Anyone else having a problem logging in to the application today? This link which I've been using the whole time now goes to a blank page:

I don't think it's too late. Someone got an invite earlier today. The site's up now. Double check. Nothing on my page has changed, though. Now I'm kind of paranoid that they accidentally emailed me instead of someone else.

I'm pretty sure that invites will go out all the way out until March 19th (especially for local applicants) for the big interview day on March 20th that USC is going to have.

Anyone in San Francisco/Bay Area interviewing up in NorCal over the next 2 weeks? I was down in LA this week, but didn't get the interview invite until Thursday night, and am unable to get back down here over the next 2 weeks. Trying to squeeze an SF interview, but not sure it'll work out...
