We do not review applications in groups but the reader will have access to the previous readers' reviews. Our office hires students to serve as Admissions Fellows. These students will review the files(and conduct our on campus interviews.) Once the Fellows complete their review an admissions officer reviews and will make a recommendation. At this time a candidate is invited to interview or recommended for denial. If denial the Associate Dean will review the file. If invited to interview, after the interview takes place, the file is reviewed again by an admissions officer. A recommendation is made and ultimately the Associate Dean makes the final decision. Male Indian. Got the call yesterday. For guys who get waitlisted today, there is still hope. From what i hear from former collegues who are now at Booth, quite a few people got off the waitlist last year.... especially those who were waitlisted in R1.

Yea sorry, I'm not used to being on EST time yet I meant 1 hour 12 minutes. Just for some clarity, here's where I was coming from. Historically calls have gone out over two days - in fact, I can't remember a year this wasn't the case. As such, its strange that the calls didn't begin on the 13th this year. Also, decisions have historically gone out at 9am on the decision date (WL or ding). I suppose its possible that this also changed this year, but I have no reason to think so. Basically, the real question is just whether or not the decisions get released at 9am today or if that timing has changed this year.

What is Chicago's waitlist like anyway? Do they offer any specific feedback on areas of improvement? Or is it a shot in the dark?

For what it's worth, I still haven't had a chance to speak with the adcom because of my situation and they told me via email that if we didn't talk on the phone I'd get exact details at 9am today.

its past 9 am est rite now, rite? but my status on the application status page is still "invite to interview" on the main page... even on the interviews page the status is unchanged... i dunno wots going on...
