I had my interview on campus - it was all pretty smooth. I went to a class in the morning and the afternoon (I had a late afternoon interview) and I think that really helped me talk about 'why Booth'. Is there anything in particular you wanted to know?

Applied Round 2.

Invited for interview this morning. 1/31

Any other folks in the LA area? When i searched the database for an alumni for the interview (since I have already visited campus), I was given just 1 option. Is that the default? Just curious.

Round 2 applicant!
Also invited to interview today.
Is anyone out there who has scheduled off campus interview? Just wondering how many alum choices would the search return...

When I searched, I got one name. I'm in Baltimore, so I assume that the system only gives you one choice- hard to believe that there would be so few alums here.

Good luck! Whatever happened to rhyme's webinar? I bet that would help all those going in for an interview next week.

Folks,

I need some help. I requested an off-campus interview and when I conducted a search, it gave me a local alum from the mid-atlantic area and I reached out to the interviewer. Its been 3 days and I haven't heard back anything. What should I do? Can I request and alternate alumni interviewer thru the admissions office??? The system is rigid and it doesn't let me search the second time..

Any thoughts?

Like my security class professor used to say, RTFM!

"If the person you contact responds that they are unavailable or fails to respond within two business days then contact our interview coordinator at admissionsinterviews@chicagobooth.edu."

I think there are instructions about non-responsive alums in the online system. I don't recall exactly, but it says to e-mail admissionsinterviews@chicagobooth.edu if you don't hear from your interviewer in 48 hours.

My interviewer didn't respond within 48 hours. So, I e-mailed Booth and they reached out to him for me (turns out he was out of the country). In the end, I was able to schedule an interview with that alum, and it was a great experience!

Yes, I flew to Chicago for an interview. I clubbed it together with visiting some other B-schools; I saw 4 schools across the country in about 8 days. I figured that if I was about to spend $160k attending somewhere then it was worth spending $2-3k to check it out first. For instance, that trip took MIT off my list.

For those still waiting for interviews, this is what I have gleaned from some of the chat transcripts:

Quote:
Once an application is submitted, it's actually reviewed by 3 people (one 2nd year student and two admissions directors) before our mid-decision date(invite to interviews). If you're invited to interview, after the interview is conducted 2 additional people on the admissions team review your application before a final decision is made.
