Ya, I have an interview with member of student services (Monique Moreland) on Feb 2nd. I had the interview with one of the admissions staff, and looks like his schedule changed suddenly. So they sent me an email that I will interviewed by Monique.

Does someone has any interview experience with student services committee? Please share.

I applied for R2 and got my interview invite from CMU on January 6th I think? I was super surprised how fast CMU's turn around was!

I am scheduled for a phone interview with Lauren Capone next week---has anyone interviewed with her? She is part of the admissions committee. I know CMU's interview is not blind, so she will have read my full application, essays etc...

If any R1 people have insight on their interviews, that would be awesome!

As far as I have heard, CMU interviews are blind. I did not interview with Lauren, but from what I had read online and checked out with the current students at Tepper, the adcom follows typically the same sequence for the questions. U can check out clearadmit wiki. Just sound pleasant and confident, that should do the trick. The adcom members are really helpful and quick to reply to mails. Do send in a thank-you mail after the interview. And, be yourself since its a relaxed interview,yet do prepare for a half hour long talking session coverin all u wanna convey.

The tepper admissions team seems slow in replying or updating important queries.

I avoided calling them for the fear of getting blacklisted, but seems like I need to contact them more frequently and get my things sorted out.
Any suggestions?

Tepper admission ppl are usually the best in my experience. When I was deciding between school they were the most responsive. What is that you are looking from them? If its some generic stuff you may want to post it on tepper adcom forum under unanimous name ... my 2 cents

I dont think it will matter much. at the end of the day what they are looking is that can you fit the small school culture do you have a social personality, required analytical skills and team working skills. Fit is important coz its a small school and so most the ppl know their classmates - having good interpersonal skills go long way in such environments.

I emailed Carol stating the problem and also attached a scanned copy of my degree transcript assuming, it might solve the problem.

I believe that when you get a GMAT report sent, it lists the other schools you sent that report to (not that you necessarily apply to them all).

Well my advise to folks planning to schedule interviews on campus is - Take the weather into consideration! Winter is pretty severe out here!

I interviewed on campus today with Devin Bownes. Very conversational interview. No grilling!
1. Careeer and education
2. Why MBA?
3. What after MBA
4. Leadership Style
5. Team conflict situation
6. Strengths and weaknesses
7. Contribution to Tepper
8. Why Tepper
9. Interests outside of work.

Did the whole campus visit thing too. I fell in love with Pittsburgh, can see myself living there

., was even contemplating the neighbourhood I would live in. I loved the small class size and a lot of other things about Tepper. Well, fingers crossed now!

All the best to ppl interviewing and those waiting. Btw, check up on the weather report before heading into Pittsburgh.

Is this normal? Ms.Carol, my application coordinator said that my application status will be Incomplete as long as the admissions team is reviewing my application.
