Can you please let me know when were you told that your application is in stage 2?

Mine says "Stage 3: All credentials received and application under review", and I am not sure how to interpret it.

Please let me know if you have any inputs.

Just today, when I received interview invite.

Don't know how to interpret your status. Are you done with interview?

There are some issues with status of applications of a lot of applicants. Give it some time to make some sense.

The tepper admissions team seems slow in replying or updating important queries.

I avoided calling them for the fear of getting blacklisted, but seems like I need to contact them more frequently and get my things sorted out.
Any suggestions?

Tepper admission ppl are usually the best in my experience. When I was deciding between school they were the most responsive. What is that you are looking from them? If its some generic stuff you may want to post it on tepper adcom forum under unanimous name ... my 2 cents

Thanks for the reply Rao,

Its not generic, my application turned incomplete even though I submitted all the listed documents by January deadline.
I emailed Carol stating the problem and also attached a scanned copy of my degree transcript assuming, it might solve the problem.

Carol said Thanks for the copy, I added it to your file. She never replied as to why my app was incomplete.

Comon why is my application still Incomplete? Confusing me!

Follow-up with carol again, politely show your concern that Tepper is your top choice and you are confused with the current staus. and ask her if there is anything you could do to help fix this.

I believe it's gonna be a video call, but instead of using skype for the audio they might call us over the phone. Perhaps we need to clarify that with the adcom.

lakshmiraj
Hi,
Have any of chosen Skype as the interview medium? (International applicants) If so, is it just an audio interview or do we have an option of video chat as well?

Thanks!
Lakshmi

Laksmi, not sure if your interview is done but for what its worth, I had a video interview over skype. The ad com member will call you at the stipulated time and yes video is available.

I have this status:

" Stage 2: Incomplete Application received - Please submit required documents (details below)"

I have two "unofficial" university transcripts. Also, I have this:
# Other Supporting Documents:
* Application Fee: Received (Official)
* Employment Record: Received (Official)
* Evaluation 1: Not Received
* Evaluation 2: Received (Official)
* Resume: Received (Official)

What's "Evaluation 1"?

I'm guessing it's a letter of recommendation

Well, I sent out an e mail to Krystal Brooks seeking clarification. This is what she had to say:

"Dear Bacteria,
Thank you for your email. We send interview requests out at all points and
stages in the admissions round - starting now and as late as March. Your
status does not mean that you will not receive an interview invitation."

Hi everyone! My interview is coming up in less than 24 hours! XD My interviewer is James Frick, and I will speak to him via Skype (I am in Thailand). Does anyone interviewed with him? How did it go?

Just had my phone interview with an admissions committee member...30 min, very standard, just surprised no real behavioral questions...and nothing specific about my work experiences either...

1. Walk me through your academic and professional experiences

2. Why an MBA and why now?

3. Why Tepper, what stands out about it for you?

4. What do you think you can contribute to Tepper>

5. What are your goals immediately after getting your MBA and longer term goals?

6. Put youself in the admissions committee's shoes, when reviewing your application, what would you think would be the greatest weakness.

Did anyone else have similar questions...I was expecting questions about strengths and weaknesses, describe difficult ethical situation, leadership role, etc...

It sounds just like my interview. I'm an R1 admit.

I just wrote an email for my thank you. I think that's pretty typical these days, but I suppose an actual letter couldn't hurt either.

Hi everyone - I'm going to be in Pittsburgh on Monday (the day after the superbowl, might be a ghost town if the Steelers win) for an information session/campus visit. Anyone going to campus and/or are there any current students browsing around on here who wouldn't mind meeting up for some coffee?

I'll be there for my interview, and attending class in the afternoon. I still have to finalize details, but I'm meeting with a current student at some point, probably lunch. I'll pm you my contact info.

I just finished my Skype interview with James Frick 10 minutes ago. He called me at 10 am. EST right on the dot.
He started with casual conversion about my day, the weather, etc.
The questions (not in this exact order, but this is as far as I can remember). The whole interview was very more conversational, more like a dialogue. No grilling.

1. resume walk through
2. why MBA/why now
3. why consulting (which is my career goal)
4. why Tepper
5. what kind of leadership do I value
6. how do I evaluate myself in that said leadership attribute
7. how can my leadership quality contribute to Tepper
8. what challenges do I face at work
9. how do I manage that, What kind of strategy do I have?
10. How do I always 'hit the ground running'? what is the 'best-practice' for me. (I think this question was asked because I changed jobs 3 times in 2.5 years but I always performed very well)
11. what do I do when I have free time

Lastly, he asked whether there was anything I wanted to ask him.

That is pretty much all I can think of.
