I had my R2 interview yesterday in Chapel Hill. It went well, very conversational. Mostly "tell me about yourself" and "why is UNC the right fit"? Unfortunately there were no students around (they've already left for break) so I didn't get a chance to interact with anyone or observe a class. Still, great campus, really great facilities, and Chapel Hill is a lot of fun. Now we settle in for the wait...

Hi guys,

I also got an interview invite.
I have a certain query , i am outside US and i am unable to figure out how to schedule an alumni or phone interview.
Whenever i search for alumni s , its gives me a list of alumni s , should i drop them a mail from my personal id to schedule an interview?
And while searching for telephone interview and using next 2 months time , the application says that no interview dates avail in the current selected time?

Can sm1 please help me in this.

Thanks for the reply.
I still dont understand how to inform or keep kfbs in the loop if i am initiating the interview by my email and update them that the interview is scheduled at this date etc.
Can you shed some light on this.Also if possible please post how you scheduled your interview.

1. Send e-mail to the alumnus at your preferred location requesting to schedule an interview.
2. Once the interview date/time and location is confirmed by the interviewer, reply to the e-mail(interview invite) you would have received from to the interview coordinator of the Kenan
Flagler with the interview details. She will then update the interview details on your application status page.

I wish I knew the official stats, but I haven't heard any. I've only met one person who received a full scholarship, and a few others who got 1/2 tuition. Keep in mind, though, that students don't generally talk about it, so there are probably more out there. It's my general opinion that it's the top-of-the-top who get the scholarship (i.e. stellar GMAT/GPA and leadership potential). I got a 1/2 scholarship from Cornell, which is a higher ranked school, so I really don't know how they decide on who to give scholarships too. Sorry ...
