Well I hope my lack of memo is a good thing.... Seems very strange that only a few people would get dings today. Why release these decisions first and not just all at once. I am going to try and block out all things Chapel Hill until the 7th.

UNC does send out exceptionally good (admits with scholl) or bad results (ding, no offense to anyone) through out the week before result date. I dont think this should come as a surprise to anyone that we are seeing results through out the week. I am just hoping that results for everyone is good(including me).

I have already reached the stage of being clinically depressed and one bad news might push me over the edge to declare myself as completely "cuckoo".

I'll take somewhere in the middle with an admit, thanks. Good luck to you - don't let the application process get you down. From what I have seen thus far, there is no real way to make heads or tails of admissions decisions. I am in the same boat after two rejects, but I guess its a good thing neither of us have heard anything yet... :?

I am pretty sure that everyone on here is discussing the MBA program, not PhD. Sorry and good luck finding a board for PhDs - I'm sure there is one out there!

for the international guys that were already approved:

How is the loan policy for international students at UNC? Are they providing money? full tuition? full tuition + living expenses?

I heard other schools, like ross and tuck are still working on their loan agreements for international.

I know that the website says that decisions will be out by 5pm but could we expect decisions earlier? Also does our status first get updated on the website?
Looking at R1 decisions, it appears that decisions came out before 5pm on the website but I'm in a different timezone so not totally sure...
