Don't let it keep you up at night.

Ditto. It was awaiting when they invited you to interview, right? I doubt the Adcom who reviews your app knows anything about that.

Yep, it has always been like that. I had send an email back then, and the answer was:"We use your self-reported scores to assess the application. When someone is admitted, we then verify the scores."

not sure how to interpret that answer now...

I would interpret it to be exactly what they said. It makes sense that they wouldn't check until you're admitted, Adcom doesn't want to waste its time to verify thousands of GMAT scores of students who, for the most part, won't be going to Booth.

It is pretty common to have the official reports come in with some delay. The adcoms usually go by the self reported scores or the unofficial scores and evaluate application and verify the official scores when it comes. After all there is very little motivation to report a wrong score considering that the adcom will not give you that acceptance letter until verifying the official score. It's pretty clear from the response as well, so take it easy. You are in safe waters.

Ha! My doom-and-gloom was definitely not intentional.

It definitely seems like ages ages ago. If you're looking to pass time this weekend, you can read Kurt's latest post on the admission's website: https://blogs.chicagobooth.edu/n/blogs/b ... r&entry=47

Direct quotation from Kurt: "We’ll announce our decisions on Wednesday, December 14, and, as we’ve done in previous years, we’ll call our admitted students to share the good news."

Just a few more days to go...

It is hard to predict what's going to happen with a new Director this year in Kurt Ahlm. However, most schools tend to call admitted students 1-2 days before the deadline during business hours local to the school.

This will be the last weekend before knowing our fate. Hopefully by the following weekend plenty of us will be celebrating.

Good luck all.....

I think most people are assuming that calls will start on Tuesday, but at this point, no one really knows.

Also, I don't really use Facebook much, but here's to hoping we all get to join this group next week: https://www.facebook.com/groups/chicagobooth2014/

I highly doubt it. On Friday they were still finalizing decisions. Assuming they worked over the weekend, they would essentially be using Monday to sort out the administrative aspects of rounding up the admit piles for Tuesday, assigning them to callers, making sure the files are in order, and also making sure that the dings are processed correctly so that on Wednesday, people can see their status. Assuming they haven't gotten everything done over the weekend, they will be using Monday to finalize their decisions and then get the admin sorted as well. I don't expect phone calls on Monday. Tuesday maybe, but they might even change things up this year and push it all to Wednesday. We'll know in around 50 hours whether this is a Tuesday or a Wednesday thing.

Last week I got an admit I'm very happy with but Chicago is Chicago - from the moment I began this process, I had Booth in mind.

Last year Booth AdCom started calling a day prior to official result release date. Good luck to all of us. :)

Here's my question: if you don't get a call tomorrow, does that mean that you are definitely a ding, or will calls also come on Wednesday?

It's not a definite. Although, it doesn't look good.

That's the general word out there. The adcom tries to reach everyone on their accepted list, but can generally get to about 85-90% of the people. So yea, its not all over, but the odds are against you on D-day.

However, Kurt Ahlm explicitly stated that decisions will come out on the 14th. Maybe they are doing something different this year. There's no way to know for sure - I don't think we can assume that people will start getting calls tomorrow.
