Like many people on this forum, I am wasting time and energy over thing I cannot control. From Noggie's earlier post on last year's data, the average from Submit to Invite is 30 days but from the data provided by AmericaninAsia, the same application phase appears to only take about 10 - 15 days (just estimating).
On Columbia's site, it suggests waiting at least 3 or 4 weeks before contacting the admissions department. I am curious to know what type of information they would provide if I contracted them.
While I have tried to make myself feel better by rationalizing that my Oct 5th submission date is the reason I haven't heard from the adcom, clearly other people who did submit on Oct 5th have heard back.
Has anyone contacted Columbia to ask them about their particular application?
It also appears to me that many of the interviews have gone to people with IB experience. Again, I haven't done any specific analysis to support that assertion but I read many of the posts and it pops up more time than not.
Are there any other entrepreneurs out there in a similar situation? Is there any merit to the idea that the adcom allocates application to readers based on backgrounds or potential career paths? Even if this was the case, I know that CBS has a strong entrepreneurship program and as such would receive lots of applicants for this area.
Basically... I am frustrated and just want to be one of the 4 - 5 people who gets accepted out right without an interview. I know that's not going to happen as I live outside Atlanta, but still hopeful!
