Dont panic just yet....if you dont hear anything by end of Jan, I would worry.

Can you really time your "panic" lol..just kidding? If you submitted around mid November, I would think that you should hear something around end Jan to mid-Feb. Possibly earlier..but mid-Feb is a good time to get curious...again this is just based on some typical timelines from the years before...

They didn't start reviewing Regular Decision apps until December and there are quite a few of us who submitted in October (and even a few in September). So I wouldn't start worrying for at least another month, they have a stack to get through before they reach the mid-Nov submissions.

I just submitted my application and find it odd that my status already says "Application Under Review". Didn't it take weeks for some of you to get to this stage?
According to the website, this status means:
The School has received all required application components and has begun to review your application. During this stage, your application is reviewed by at least two admissions officers, after which it is evaluated by the Admissions Committee.

As much as I'd like to think my application is somehow special, is this just an auto update? Anyone else see this happen?

I wish I wasn't the bearer of bad news, but I got the same updates in a matter of days. So I think its just passed the quantitative checklist, if I may say so. The 'qualitative' part is what will take some time, and from what I gather, at least another month or more!

Yeah, this only means they've received all your documents and are ready to start review. From hereon, the process can take anywhere between a couple days to over a month for an interview invite/ding. This wait will depend on how strong the application and how unusual of a candidate you are (international, ethnicity, etc.).

True, but the interview invites won't necessarily come in the order of review...

Two candidates could be reviewed on the same day but the more compelling candidate will get an invite first so other schools don't snatch him/her up.
