Just had my interview with alum here in NYC. Standard questions posted here and elsewhere. Interviewer clearly had a list of questions to get through, but it was still informal and relaxed, and after we had a chance to chat about business, school, and NYC. Overall I think it went pretty well. He introduced himself 1. Walk me through your resume 2. Why an MBA, why now, why Columbia? 3. Led a team? 4. Professional or personal challenges? 5. Someone asking you to do something you disagreed with (this was the ethical dilemma question) 6. Is there anything you would do differently in your career or academic life thus far? 7. Anything else about Columbia that attracts you or you want to know? 8. Where else are you applying? Why are you applying to those schools? 9. What if you don't get into any schools, what will you do? 10. Why do you want to do what your long/short term goals are? Lasted about 30 minutes. Friendly but definitely structured. I got the feeling it is a very small part of the overall application. Hope to hear soon.

Hi all. I had my interview with an AdCom member on-campus on Feb 15..now today AdCom (Mary Miller) sent me an email asking to schedule a "brief telephone conversation". I am not sure what to make of this? Has anyone else had this situation? What was your 2nd interview about? I am not experienced enough to be considered for the EMBA yet (barely 4 years WE at matriculation)..so not sure what this could be about. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Dinged today. Received the e-mail at 10:21am CST. Submitted on 12/08/2011 Invited to Interview on 01/31/2012 Interviewed on 02/07/2012 Complete on 02/15/2012 Denied with Interview on 03/06/2012 A little bewildered considering that I thought my interview went very well. (The interviewer even said so himself without prompting on my part.) Good luck to everyone else.

@merkhet: sorry to hear. CBS interviews, albeit important, are likely not "make or break". Best of luck with the other schools! For those who applied before scholarship deadline, don't give up hope yet. I submitted my application right on Jan 4, received my invite late last week, and interviewed over the weekend.
