i will be. Weird how they haven't sent out an itinerary yet. ok... seems like nobody here has received an invite (not putting that much emphasis on friend of a friend). Since it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten a ding yet, i guess it's still possible.

No word from Yale at all from me either.

Is anyone from this thread going to be at the NYU day on Saturday?

No shade, but we all know that not all 1,000 Consortium applicants are on these GMAT Club forums. So, for those of us who do KNOW others with SOM invites through CGSM who are also not active on this forum, that's not to be discounted. Those facts just serve as additional metrics. The FACT: SOM sent out some interview invites to CGSM applicants. Not all, we presume, but some did go out. It is what it is.

I don't think anyone should give up hope; SOM will likely still send out some invites this week, and probably even next week too!

BUT...let's also be realistic and recognize that there are many more amazing CGSM schools that everyone has been invited to interview at. If SOM didn't invite you to interview, it is NOT the end of the world you guys...you will still go to AMAZING schools, and that's what we're all rooting for with regards to each other on this forum. It's bigger than just one school...it's about us, not the schools we go to. :king

Yep! I got that one. I nearly jumped when I saw a Consortium email. I was hoping it was good news, super early! :-D

For all of you USC applicants that have given up hope (like I had), I just received an invitation to interview this Saturday the 28th.

Beyond excited, I actually teared up :)

i'm discounting it not bc i don't think it's true...but in general i don't trust heard from a friend of a friend. If absolutely nobody on this forum got an invite...whether or not they represented 5% ot 50% of CGSM applicants - i would be more relaxed. the odds of that happening are not that high. HBS and othrs are more selective....so i doubt we ALL failed the yale standard. Fact - nyu sent cgsm invites later.....so did ucla...I like hearing from people directly so i can ask follow-up questions...and not hear...umm, i'm not sure.

anyway.. it's all good. i just want to know so i can update - ding or interview...and move on.

Does anyone know how to find info on how many Consortium fellowships each school offers per year? You can get a sense of the size of the class at each school looking at the pics from OP 2014 https://www.flickr.com/photos/theconsor ... 958692901/, but I wonder how many of those students also got fellowships?

I know there's the overall stats on ~500 admitted, ~350 got fellowships, but I can't seem to find a breakdown by school.

Nice. I applied in January, did a pre-screening interview in Feb and was invited to MBA Catapault in May. I want to fast-forward through the waiting 8-)

I have tried to figure this out, and my best guess is that since the money comes in per school, you would want to look at class size and the total amount spent on schlarships at each school, such as in this article here: https://poetsandquants.com/2014/11/20/mb ... schools/2/

If I were to guess, I would say the top three schools to provide consortium fellowships are Ross, Darden, and other consortium members who give up +20% of tuition on scholarships, of course adjusted for size. Tepper/Tuck are Consortium members for example, but couldn't possibly take a large number of students given their small class sizes. I think Ross would be the number one supporter due to its class size, longstanding membership in the Consortium, and large financial aid commitments elsewhere.

From past and current fellows I have heard NYU Stern doles out significant dollars to Consortium fellowships as well.

side note - was anyone's usc interviewer late? Mine is.....they seem very disorganized... she only confirmed my date when i sent a followup reminding her she didn't respond to my options...then gave me a date that wasn't even in the original email...and it was for the next day!

I had the opposite experience, got a confirmation on my 1st choice of time within 2 minutes (literally) of my reply.

How did your interview go?

no idea, actually. I am surprised at how varied the processes are between schools, for example I think UT Austin releases their admits and dings on the same day (March 26) no sooner no later.
