I have received interview invites and been match with interviewers. I am struggling to get responses from my interviewers to schedule time. Is anyone else facing this issues? I don't want to be extra pushy but shouldn't they be equally active in this process?

Hi riddhitabillaiya,

I know this situation is frustrating. But you need to understand that interviewers are volunteers and by no means this is part of their jobs.

Also, AOs don't check their availabilities beforehand when you're paired with them. Just when you get their two names via email, they get a cold email from your AO letting them know you'll be reaching out. That's the first time they find out about the interviews. If they're not available, they'll let you or your AO know, and then your AO will pair you with some other alum.

This process might seem a bit inefficient from an applicant perspective, but it's easier for the school. Plus, there is a reason the deadline to complete the interviews is about 4 weeks. This is plenty of time. And interviewing earlier doesn't mean hearing back earlier on the final decision. So, from an admissions perspective, there is no real gain in interviewing early.

Anyhow... wait for a couple of days. If they don't get back to you, email them a friendly reminder. After a couple more days, if that doesn't work, try messaging them via SMS... (sometimes, these emails go to their spam folders). If that doesn't work, let your AO know.

Keep in mind that the biggest part of the interview consists in assessing your personality. And you can take these email communications as the first impression you're making on your interviewers. So, yeah, as you said, you don't want their first impression of you to be that of someone who is pushy.

I can't stress this enough. They're volunteers. So, always always always, show appreciation for their time.

I hope this helps.

Warm regards
Alex

EL mentioned to me that decisions can come out as early as late October. Has anyone gotten a decision yet?

Hey! I also finished my interviews and waiting for the decision.
No update so far, but I think it’s normal since the deadline to complete the alumn interviews is today.

Hi dhruvsharma2117,

MegaMBA is absolutely right and INSEAD does look at your application holistically. And the school tends to value more, for example, extensive international experience than a few extra points on GMAT or GRE.

However, whether a 320 (Q165/V155) is a competitive score will also highly depend on which demographic group you belong to.

INSEAD started accepting GRE scores only recently and no data on average GRE for the class has been officially released (at least, to my knowledge). But it is believed to be around 325.

What INSEAD does say is that the school recommends 80% percentile or above in both the verbal and quantitative sections. Therefore, Q165 would be okay, but V155 would fall short.

So, all in all, while perfectly possible to be accepted with 320 (Q165/V155), it would be advised to score higher, especially on the V section and if you belong to an over-represented demographic group.

I hope this helps.

Warm regards
Alex

I finished my interviews on 10th, but haven’t heard back yet. I was reading online - generally they start releasing results two weeks ahead of the deadline, so I am guessing we should start getting some early next week onwards

When I was notified for my interview, I was told to have my interviews before November 3th. I think the AO will select the applicants after that day, once all interviews are finished.
Just guessing.

If admissions results are released before the deadline, you still have to provide an answer 30 days after you received the results or after the official deadline?

Yes, that's correct. I submitted my application on 3 Oct (R1 deadline) and had till 5 Oct to complete the Kira Interview. If you have any doubt, I'd suggest submitting the application a day or two early to have a reasonable margin.

I am aware INSEAD accepts unofficial GRE/GMAT scores with a supporting document of the unofficial score. However, with GRE there is no 'unofficial report' document. The scores just flash on the screen after the test. Any advice on how to report the GRE score on the application without a supporting document.

I will have my official scores be sent to INSEAD directly by ETS though.

Yes, the admissions page says, "Please complete your video interviews at your earliest convenience and no later than 48 hours after the deadline to which you are applying. We strongly recommend however that you complete this step before the final date to allow yourself some time to prepare for this exercise."
