Calling all Applicants: INSEAD January 2025 Intake

Wasn’t this something that you negotiated? I try to encourage people to push back on people who are wanting to do the interview right away, so they have time to prepare and feel confident. If it’s already set, you agreed to it, then I guess there’s not a lot you can do now but Just general advice to all be a little more empowered in setting a date because it’s like they always want to do it right away to get it out of the way but *that’s not in your best interest* give yourself the time just state you’re on a business trip or unavailable.

can you share with me how you ran out of time? I thought that And. Kira gave you a separate amount of time for each question. I would reach out to your AO to maybe explain what might’ve happened - that said it’s probably not going to be too detrimental to your application. They said in the past that they are looking to qualify people from the video essays- ppl who come across better on video than writing - not to disqualify people. I’m not sure if that’s true or if that is a political statement, but I think it’s likely to be true. If you had put forth a really good effort on the rest of the application, it seems quite capricious that they would disqualify you from contention for something quite minor. It’s not in their best interest.

I actually wanted to extend the interview deadline because one of the interviewers was unreachable. It doesn’t seem like I will be able to complete both interviews within the allotted time. Unfortunately I was only given 3 weeks and I did not negotiate. I’m also out of luck as my AO is away for 2 weeks.

Hi the301km,

I know this is a stressful situation, but I wouldn't worry. When an interviewer is not responsive or declines to do an interview, after notifying your AO, she pairs you with another interviewer and, if necessary, extends the interview deadline (which is not written in stone).

When AOs are away (e.g. on vacation), their emails are forwarded to other AOs. So, I would insist on contacting her and someone will reply soon.

In any case, this is nothing of your fault and you will not be penalized in any way.

Has anyone heard back regarding R3 final decision?

Not sure but France takes August off

I got a call on Friday! But I haven’t received an official email yet.

Can anyone advise if you get a the official email soon after the call or is there a time in between of some sorts

Congratulations! Had you requested an early decision? I was accepted for the august intake and received the email the same day. However she called me in the morning and I received the email late at night. I don’t think there is a need for you to worry, it will come☺️
