Has anyone taken a course called "Basic Corporate Fiance" @ UC Berkeley Extension? Anyone care to comment about Mark Hyman, who will be teaching the online summer session?
Also, can someone who has taken the course comment whether this would be an easy A for someone who's background is engineering? The syllabus says accounting/econ courses are pre-reqs. I've taken Econ course, which was an easy A for me but have absolutely no background in accounting.
So my interview STILL has not been submitted. I emailed my interviewer after the interview to say "thanks" and I emailed him a few days ago to ask the status of the report. He hasn't replied to either of those emails. Do you guys think I should call him? or would that be too much?

Hey designstory, Did you check with your interview coordinator? When I inquired about my transcript, she was very responsive and helpful in letting me know that they had received it and that the system would be updating soon.
Yup, the coordinator told me this past Friday that they still hadn't received the report. I emailed her just now to ask what would happen if they don't receive it by the notification deadline this Wednesday... I think I will let the school follow up with the interviewer.

Yeah, I agree. That seems like a good way to do it.
For all of the Veterans applying to (or thinking about applying to) business school, I thought that the following article on the Haas School of Business website was very exciting, and might be of interest to you!
Do you get an email telling you when your interviewer has submitted his/her feedback? I didn't interview until this past Friday and received the following email yesterday:
"Thank you again for applying to the Berkeley Full-time MBA Program. I note that you have completed your interview with us this week, close to our Round 3 response deadline of April 28, 2010. Since we include your interview in our overall review of your application, the Admissions Committee will discuss your application as soon as we have received the interview report. Typically, this takes a few days after the interview has occurred, but we have communicated with your interviewers asking them to provide the report as soon as possible so that we can provide you with your decision in a timely manner."
Marcus, after my report was submitted (yesterday, after I stopped freaking out), my status changed back to "under review", but they didn't send me an automated email. I was already emailing with Pam, the interview coordinator, and she confirmed that it had been submitted.
So... I got the call from Peter Johnson just a few minutes ago! So happy! Good luck to all who are still waiting!
Congratulations, Designstory. That's awesome. Hopefully I'll receive the same call after my interview feedback is submitted. Do you plan on matriculating?

Wow, quite a fast turnaround. Congrats! All of my info (including transcript received) went to compete and under review a few days ago (late last week). Hopefully that's not indicator of bad news for me that haven't gotten a call yet... but either way, good luck to all!
Congratulations to the ones that already got the call! I am a 3rd round applicant and still have the status "application under review". The deadline is tomorrow, and still no calls, emails, anything! Is it a bad sign? Honestly, do you guys think there is still a chance I could get a call?
Today, April 28, is the round 3 decision deadline for Haas. If you applied in round 3, you should receive a decision from the Admissions Committee today (unless there were delays in getting your interview scheduled, which you would already know about). We are still making calls to admitted students, and I would anticipate that those calls will continue through the end of today.
Lauren, When can wait-listed candidates expect to hear back? I need to respond to another school very soon, but Haas has been and still is my 1st choice.....waiting patiently!
I am a fellow wait listed candidate and according to all past info I think they said 'soon after R3 decision'. This leads me to believe that it will be within the next 1 week.
Question: When can wait-listed candidates expect to hear back? I need to respond to another school very soon, but Haas has been and still is my 1st choice.....waiting patientl
Answer: Thank you for your patience, and for your continued interest in Haas! Based off of information that the Admissions Committee has shared with me, waitlist candidates from rounds 1 and 2 will likely hear from the Admissions Committee by early to mid May.
