Just an update for everyone: I got an email yesterday evening saying, "At this time, we plan to re-evaluate the applications of waitlisted candidates soon. After our review, we will make offers of admission to some candidates, will keep some candidates on the waitlist, and will notify others that we are unable to offer them admission. We will provide a status update to all waitlisted candidates on or before May 15.
If you are still interested in being considered for admission, please respond to this email by Friday, May 7, 2010. If we do not hear from you by May 7, we will assume that you have made other plans and are no longer interested in being considered for admission."
Kinda worrisome that I had already confirmed I wanted to remain on the waitlist, sent in new recommendations, and sent in an update, but if I had missed that email, I would have lost my spot anyways...

Would a bullet point format be innapropriate for the update statement for waitlist candidates? I have 4 or 5 professional accomplishments since submitting my application and two personal accomplishments. I was thinking of separating the two and using bullet points for each accomplishment (2-4 sentences per bullet point). Is this far too informal? I would assume the norm is essay format. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
They seem to prefer short and sweet, so if you provide bullets, you're probably better off than long form essays. Make sure that what you're providing is actually new information for your application, though, and not just continued demonstrations of the same traits you already communicated...
