congrats to all the admits! Haas has certainly been quite selective this year~ sounds like it's a waitlist at best for me tomorrow...it's a little disappointing since I quite like what I put in for Haas, but again, admission is a magic black box (and I would like to convince myself that it's more of a fit issue rather than the quality of my app). well, life moves on :)

DreamChaser,

I'm with you there. A waitlist at best and most likely a ding. And I really liked my essays for it and took the longest to put that application together as compared to other schools! :writer Oh well. Hey, California is bankrupt anyway, maybe I don't really want to be there.

But sincere congratulations to all admitted!!!

I'm with you theDreamChaser, but at least you've got an admit under your belt! I'm really stressing over this Haas notification today. I felt like my interview actually went really well, but even so it's only about a 50/50 shot based on their typical admittance rates so this is fairly nerve-wracking. Best of luck to everyone else out there that's anxiously awaiting a call!

Waiting nervously here as well after interview. I checked my status online and it still says "invited to interview." Does this mean that they still haven't received the feedback report? Do all of you statuses say the same thing or something different?

Good luck all!

You work for an admissions office. How long will it take to call 175 accepted applicants?

Oh, I'm not assuming that the calls are over. It just looks like they started making calls yesterday, so the closer we get to the end of the day the less likely the chances of admittance, since I'm guessing they will update everyone's application status online by fairly early tomorrow and I would expect that admits would receive their calls before that happened, but perhaps that is an incorrect assumption.

Oski, my application status says "Application Under Review." When did you interview?

Haha. Did you pull the 175 out of thin air or is that based on statistics from prior years?

Where are you all checking your status? Is there a website link (similar to Kellogg) or are you checking within your application?

Funny! Well here's my math. They have a 240 person class, yield is about 50%. So thats 480 total admits. Assuming R2 has somewhat more than 1/4th of the total (4 round) let's assume its 150 admits in R2. Let's say it takes 10 minutes a call (including multiple calls) and there are 4 people calling. Thats 150*10/4/60 or 6.25 hours.
I maintain some hope but agree its dwindling

My application says application under review!

I interviewed exactly a week ago 3/9 on campus with a 2nd year. I would think that a week is ample time to get feedback. I don't know if this is bad or good. :|

Well, based on the fact that there were 1200 applicants in R2 and last year their admit rate was 12% (I think), that's about 175.

I figure 4 is a lot for phone calls, I would assume 2 people are doing the calls. Seems like they should be done by the end of today if they started last night. Maybe a few stragglers get calls tomorrow.

I really don't know why they call, it's absolutely nerve-wracking. Just send everyone an email if you interviewed and get it over with. Or call the dings who made the effort to fly out there (already getting bitter)...

(also, I interviewed on SS and my status is still 'under review')

Those of you that interviewed should just relax and enjoy the process :)

You all made an amazingly difficult cut and things will play out just fine for all of you!

Much better than having stats like 730 GMAT, 3.6 bioengineering undergrad degree, a law degree and top 10% class standing, founder of a startup company that raised $2 million dollars in angel capital and no interview! :P

Best of luck!

Everyone says you have a good chance after you're invited to interview, but the wait for the phonecall is equally tough! :(

Good luck everyone! Report back if you get the phonecall! :)

Thanks DreamChaser. No call yet, but still hoping. I'm a re-applicant that didn't get an interview at all last year, so at least I'm making progress!
