Question for R2 applicants waiting for the interview invite. What is your application status?

Mine says "Your application for admission to the Berkeley Full-time MBA program is under review by the Admissions Committee. Please visit the web site again and log in with your user name and password on or after the decision date for the round in which you applied to check your application status."

Has anyone with the above status received an invite after a couple of days from the status change to the above?

Since R3 applicants have started receiving interview invites, I am trying to find out whether there is hope or the status means I can login on the decision date and confirm that I am dinged? :shock:

R2 applicant - My status reads same as yours. It changed to this status just a week ago. But with only a week to go for deadline, my hopes are fading on receiving a interview. Today being holiday, we just 5-6 working days :( .

Hi Ergotropic

My status is the same as yours, but i am unsure since when. Somehow I think it changed to that since the day I was told my app was ready for review (Jan 4), but I may be wrong.

As all other R2 who didn't receive the app invite yet, I feel very hopeless right now!

R2 applicant no interview invite yet and my Status hasn't been changed. Still says its ready for review and they may need addition info (official transcripts) if I get an interview. No idea if this means anything. I've pretty much accepted that its going to be a rejection at this point anyway.

No I called long ago regarding the international transcript thing and I was told - worst case if transcripts don't show up by the decision date, then they may give you conditional admit. So I do not think it is an issue. You should be fine

Hello GMATClubbers....Have a query will be indebted if you could advise...
Profile: International/WE: 2.5 yrs/ Engineering 3.9 GPA/Outstanding EC/700 GMAT

My entire experience has been as a techie in a top BB Investment Bank. However, on account of a preferable career change(business/functional orientation) I resigned from my firm in December while apping R2 apps. I updated my resume and apps to reflect the change along with the reason for quitting (seeking business oriented role as I can contribute more given my skill-set). However, I recently began working for a niche financial services start-up in a challenging Business Analyst's (Tech and Sales/Mktng domain) role.
This has been a welcome change and I regard it as a significant achievement since it is tough to land such a role after 2-3 years of tech experience (and without a business degree)...

I want to know if and how I should go about updating the ad-com regarding this. I post this query in the Haas thread as that is the only college from where i have any reasonable time-based expectation to consider this update seriously (I applied Haas R3)...the rest of my apps are to colleges which are more or less done sending i/v invites (havent received any yet :( ) .... but if ppl believe I have valid reason and still time on my hand i would be glad to update all the colleges I have applied to...

What do you suggest?
