For R1, I got an e-mail stating my status has been updated around 2pm PST. I'm assuming R2 e-mails will go out around the same time.

Waitlisted!! phew... I was so afraid to be dinged!

Just received five mins ago through email with loads of instructions. Time for action again now! I'll try to go through previous threads on what people did to improve their chances on waitlist, but if anyone has advices...

I was thinking about adding another recommendation letter, I have someone in mind who would do it. But I wonder what other information would be useful to share now.

To be expected, my essays definitely needed more polish. Having to submit a month before other R2's helped my other apps a lot so hopefully that will pay off.

At least I can come clean and say their "4 characteristics" are utter pretentious BS now.
