After some drama of not getting any update yesterday, I called admissions today to find out my fate.
Found out that I'm in!!!

Congrats! And see...? The non-status change WAS a very good thing after all!

@K8: Yes, indeed! I shouldn't have complained!
@nomadconsultant: Yes, they are doing so. Apparently it should be done in a few days.

Have the statistics / rollcall on the first page been updated after this round? Are the admit percentages in line with what we've seen earlier?

The stats have been updated.

Thanks, Av. Just curious: do you read all the posts to get the stats? Can the system be automated or self-report?

To all fellow applicants: can you verify your status on the roll call so that we can have a complete picture?

To all waitlisters: if the current 13% rate is correct, that suggests they are slowing down on putting people in purgatory.

I do. It will be automated/self-reported in future application seasons.

I am a R3 applicant waiting for an interview invite. Haas is one of the few schools I am waiting to hear back from and is definitely my #1 pick.

Is there anything I can do at this time to improve my candidacy? Can I email the Admissions office to provide them an update on my job/etc and steps I have take in the past 2 months to show that I am a great fit? Any comment or advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I'm a R1 waitlister. No news yet. Anxiously waiting.

MBAIsrael is right - that's the classic sort of thing we have to spot in GMAT SC questions. Ironic that they recommend taking the GMAT again for some of us... I doubt we get any brownie points for pointing that out to them, though!
I have to think about this, I'm very keen on Haas and need to understand why they waitlisted me.

I posted my R2 interview details on the Clearadmit wiki for R3/R4/WL applicants.
https://clearadmit.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... yInterview

Posting it again here:

Background: Intl/M/740/3+yr in Oil and Gas (all Intl)/solid community-work
Visited Haas 2 weeks prior to R2 application deadline.

Interview scheduling:
I am based in the Middle East. Surprisingly, there was a Haas alumna in my country. However, both of us had very busy schedules for Feb. I ended up scheduling it on the last day for all interviews (which was 5 days away from R2 deadline). Interestingly, the interviewer was traveling from her city to the city where I am based for a business meeting. Location was a café in a hotel. I wore a business suit without a necktie.

Questions:
Small chit-chat about the interviewer’s business trip. Handed in an updated copy of my resume.
    Tell me about yourself.
More about the non-profit organization that I co-founded.
Short-term and long-term goals. (I included the answer for why MBA)
Tell me about a challenging leadership situation you faced. (Probed deeper on what my exact role was)
Tell me about a time when you were in a team that failed. (Probed deeper on whether we overcame that failure)
Tell me about a time when you met with resistance in a professional setting, either with a team or a person.
    Why Haas?
What do you bring to Haas?
    My questions for the interviewer

Overall pretty standard. There was considerable probing with the behavioral questions though.
Berkeley was my #1 choice in a lot of aspects, and I think my research and campus visit helped me nail the ‘Why Haas’ and ‘What do you bring to Haas’ pitches.

I think this post answers your question perfectly:

Actually the sc thing is kind of an anecdote. I'm much more worried that only 4% of w/l applicants managed to get off the waitlist last year. I plan to ask them on today's chat for WL whether they tried to keep the list smaller this year.

BTW - all waitlisters - do not forget today's chat :)

FYI fellow R3ers, I got an e-mail a few days back saying they my transcript was illegible and asking me to resend. Sounds like they're starting to get to us--I applied 1/20. (Was able to quickly sort it out and it sounds like my application is now headed to someone's desk somewhere.)
