R1 waitlist : Rejected !

With a GMAT score of 720 (Q:49, V:40), 10 years of WE which includes 6 years of international exp, I have been dinged by all my schools. I am going nowhere !

From what I have heard, it is possible to have too much work experience and the schools aren't sure what you can gain from them. You could consider an EMBA those usually require 8 years work exp.

I totally understand... It's very discouraging. I received bad news from Haas and Kellogg today...double whammy.

What do all these WL dings mean for us waiting for interviews for R3? Is there no space left?

Has anyone from the EWMBA R1 WL heard anything? My status changed yesterday from "waitlist" to "application under review." Not sure it that's a good or bad thing?

I submitted R3 application for EWMBA on the due date (March 14), and got an interview invite the following day. Surprised to hear a response so quickly.

I have a series of questions I hope some R2 folks can help me with.

1. Based off of the forums and business week stats, it looks like the admit percentage of those invited to interview is approximately 44-50%, is that correct?
2. Is there a Super Saturday event for R3? I don't believe so but just wanted to check.
3. What is the normal lag between Invite to admit? I am on business travel and can't interview for the next two weeks
4. Is there a Day at Haas for R3 applicants?

Lastly, for Fall start, I have the following dates:
8/1 - Math Camp, 8/15 - Orientation, 8/24 - Classes begin

That's pretty soon...

Thank you all for the input and sorry if I'm repeating questions.

1. It's 40-60% that gets admitted. This is from adcom
2. No there isn't
3. For off campus they ask that you complete your interview 10 days after ur invite. If you are traveling you can probably arrange for something in the city you are in or speak to adcom about delaying your interview. I suspect as long as it is reasonable and before the decision date, they will work with you
4. There's one more D@H at the end of April. As you find out your admission before, you should be able to attend.

They tend to take 40-60% I believe.

Thank you for the quick reply. For #3, that info is useful but I was also wondering what the time was from when your interview is completed, to when adcom admits individuals to the school.

Invites mostly come out in the last week prior to deadline. However, quite a few R2 admits came out a little early to allow new admits to plan their trip for DAH.

All things being equal, is there an advantage to interviewing on campus? I visited the school and sat through a class already. Any advice is appreciated.
