I submitted my application for Round 1 on 13 October and it went under review on 26 October and since been 'under review'. I know they said in that email that there is a possibility of hearing from them about interview invites all the way up to the decision date of 13 Jan but this is crazy. Is there anyone from R1 still waiting for an interview invite? I am an international candidate. Does that have anything to do with it?

I'm in R1, and I haven't been invited to interview (yet?). With four business days left before decisions roll out, I'm not holding out too much hope, really. I'm not being pessimistic, just pragmatic.

Hi wiredo

Yeah, I know what you mean. I am thinking of giving them a call (though I hate being the whiny person who calls a busy office and says - err... you haven't called me for an interview as yet, what's with that?). Their emails are just so vague. I mean, what happens if they do call you for an interview on say, 12 Jan? Obviously, they would not be able to render a decision before the R1 decision deadline. It's just so opaque, unlike Booth, where I see you've been admitted. Congratulations! But you are right about Haas. It's probably not going to happen. :(

As of this morning mine changed from "invited to interview" to "application under review." I guess that means they got my interview assessment and have everything else they need.

A good friend of mine was called for an interview for UCLA two days before the decision date and was admitted on the decision date. I assume they just wanted to make sure there weren't any major dealbreakers in how he presented himself. I don't want to raise false hopes because I think it's a fairly rare situation, but I think it does happen with Haas as well.

I just spoke with a friend who is currently at Haas in the part time MBA programme and he said he has a classmate who was called for an interview on the very last day. So I guess it's not entirely impossible but let's face it, with every day that passes, our chances are becoming bleaker.

I called admissions a few hours ago and asked if they're still sending out interview invites for R1 applicants. They said they will have a few out today and even early next week. The lady I spoke with also said several people will be put on the (pre-interview) waitlist, with the option to schedule an interview later. Looks like they might be testing whether the pre-interview waitlisted candidates are still interested in pursuing a Haas admit.

Unfortunately, the odds of getting an interview in the last week are not very good (international of otherwise).

Wow, congrats! I didn't expect any invites to go out until next week at the earliest - now I'm anxiously refreshing my inbox 16 times a minute!!

I would think an alumni interview would be a little more relaxed. I can imagine Super Saturday feeling rushed. Get in, get out, on to the next person.

hey thanks. you have have a point. I deffintly made it a priority to visit before applying especially given the essay questions.. though I cant believe they expect people across the coast to make the effort twice. fyi the super sat invite doesn't provide alternative interview locations. just an rsvp for requesting a slot. Its scheduled for feb 5th

I too am in international applicant. My status too refuses to move beyond "under review" to "invited for interview". I know what they say dude, but IMHO we are out of the game now. Better to focus your energies on another app if you haven't already done so... posting.php?mode=quote&f=103&p=847873#

I wonder if any international application has received interview invite? Mine went "under review" on 15/12 but until now still no news from the adcom. :(
