Hi Rose78, thank you! I touched on this in the Booth waitlist group but this is what I did after I got placed on the WL in R1:
-re-read my whole application to identify any weaknesses/things the adcoms might have found questionable
-reached out to students and alumni and got connected to others who got accepted from the waitlist
-participated in the waitlist virtual chat in January
-did an official class visit late January (I'd never visited before)
-Re-took the GMAT (although my score didn't improve, still submitted to show the adcom I was committed)
-wrote the waitlist essay and answered question #3, further explaining potential weaknesses in my application (I didn't do the video)
-PRAYED HARDCORE

After all of that, I got in with $$$ so don't lose hope! I hope this helps!

Did everyone who got dinged round 2 get an email with subject “More Paths to a UChicago Degree” yesterday? Sort of stung. Was absolutely in love with Booth.

While the recent application cycle presented us with more talented individuals than available seats in the class, we did take special note of your candidacy and qualifications.

Booth represents only part of the nearly 10,000 students pursuing graduate education across more than 100 programs within The University of Chicago. From your application, we saw your background and career interests align closely with many current UChicago graduate students.

As you consider the next steps in advancing your career and education, we encourage you to explore theUChicago graduate programsthat are relevant to you. Based on your unique experience and strong credentials, our colleagues and administrators in these other programs welcome your interest.

Did anyone who were admitted in R1 received $$$ AFTER the initial admit call?
I am wondering if the adcom did not communicate $$$ on the admit call, it means that I won't be getting any $$$.

Thanks!

I haven't heard/seen anything yet. Any idea when the R2 deposit deadline is? I imagine any pre-R3 decisions will only come after that, and they have an idea of what the class is looking like.
