well i just spent a lot of time i should have spent working analyzing the R1 invitations.

So first person reported on October 16th and the 24th was the last day. Here was the breakdown (reported on the thread)

Oct 16: 2 people 1.52 EST
Oct 17: nothing (think it was Booth Live)
Oct 18-19: weekend - nothing
October 20 : 13 people 1:52 est
October 21: 6 people 1:00 EST
October 22: 8 people 1:18 est
October 23: 11 people 12:42 EST
October 24: 14 people + dings 4:30 EST

2 takeaways

1. the emails are sent in one batch
2. they really do send emails on the last day...in fact, that was the highest reported day for R1. and there really was no correlation date between invite date and A/D/WL

Nice data analysis! I'd agree with you especially on takeaway #2 - I was invited to interview on Oct 23 and was admitted.

so i guess tomorrow is the day when some international students will receive their invitations. i know some guys in hongkong applied in R1 received invitations on the second day.

I doubt there's going to be much action today. If my theory is true, then all of the "superstar" candidates who were given a "Yes" by the first reader would have gotten invites yesterday, and now the apps are stuck on the second reader, so maybe tomorrow or the day after we'll hear back. I think R1 interview invites were consistent with this.

Then again, who knows...

Looks to be the case...Although the post about invites by day from Rd1 did say there didn't appear to be any correlation between invite day and Accept/Ding/WL..WHO KNOWS!! hah

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! I am SOOOOOOOO excited... i think i'm going to cry. wow. wow. wow.
ok, let me go choose a date. I feel so ecstatic. i totally thought i didn't have a chance with my quant score......my 680 is bc my verbal was 98th percentile or something...quant was 49th.....and with booth's reputation as a quant school... ok i'm blabbing... just want others out there not to let the Q50 people intimidate you. (or above 720)
