I faced the same dilemma, but my thinking was this: business school is expensive, why spend $ when not necessary? Save the dough and hang out with us in DC!

Ahhh, congratulations! I don't think it matters where you interview really especially since they know how expensive and time intensive it is to travel all the way to Chicago from India. Also, I think Booth invites close to about 50% of applicants for the interview and while I don't have an exact figure for the admission rate (it's in this thread somewhere), I know it's a lot better than most schools with a similar ranking because of Booth's yield rate. Where in India are you based? I hope they're not done inviting Indians yet... I had a really good feeling about my Booth application! Also, to everyone who received an invite to interview - presentation or essay?!

Thanks a lot! This helps somewhat. I'm based in New Delhi and I dont think invites have been sent countrywise or anything. I had submitted essays instead of presentations and was really disappointed with my essay/overall application quality, tbh.
