Did anyone choose San Francisco for the interview? The website let me choose SF but then there were no available time slots so I'm not sure what to do. I emailed the interview committee yesterday but no response yet. :(

I'm doing an SF hub interview... If the slots are full I guess I'd just cross my fingers that a slot opens up or they can accommodate you?

Gave today what is probably the only interview I'm getting this season. Alumnus interview in Delhi.

Congrats to other guys who are interviewing cuz there's one less guy in the race now :)

Bombed it so so bad.. I couldn't have done it so bad even if i tried do it intentionally. FML.

Good Luck to you guys.

Good Luck to you guys.

The interviewer asked if I knew anyone or connected to anyone from booth, attended any events physically, - I answered no and told him that I had only attended live chats and gone through web sources. He seemed supremely disappointed.

Said I needed to network more and need to be more aware of the industry

Seemed disappointed from 2nd attempt at GMAT and wasn't convinced from my answers to "what i bring to the community", "work ex gap explanation", and "failures"

But, the fault lies at my end mostly. Basically, I appeared the exact opposite what we be called the 'fit' for Booth, which is pretty much the point of interview. Considering the 50% after interview acceptance rate, I am quite sure I blew the big opportunity in hand. People from my profile and background don't get many such chances. Conclusion - will have to try next year if i wanna be at Booth.

Thanks. But do not lose hope. Everything is possible. Good luck!

Hi friends pls help me to answer 2 questions :
1. Is that i donnt need to spend my official gmat score until i get admitted?
2. No need to apply as soon as possible in one round. I noticed that in some schools applicants submit application soon then get invite soon then know the result soon but is that in Booth applicants in the same round will get the invite email at the same time?
Thank you so much :)

1. Correct. At most schools, you do NOT need to send official GMAT/GRE reports until you are admitted.
2. It is different for each school. For example at Booth, when you apply in a round - so long as it is before the deadline - does not affect when/if you will get an interview. But at a school with rolling admissions like Columbia, it is advantageous to apply as early as possible.

Hope that helps.

They asked about number of GMAT attempts? That seems nit-picky. They only have your resume I think, right?

Yeah, only the resume. But, he asked me about some failures and I couldn't think of anything but the GMAT retake.

Again, as I said earlier, I am responsible for my own decline here.

I'll be going to the Booth Preview event on campus all day February 20. I haven't had a chance to visit the school yet and don't have as great of a feel for it as I did for the schools I was able to visit, so I think it will help me make a better decision and give me more meat to talk about during the interview.

Anybody else joining that day?

Luckily they called me this morning to let me know that an alumni will contact me for a SF interview. Turns out the SF hub date is at capacity already. I'm just glad they responded haha. Good luck!!

Hey guys,

For on campus interviews, should we wear a suit? For women, do we need to wear a suit too? What's the dress to expect?

Thanks for your Input. I have few questions - How come you got Invited for R2 that quick (Considering Booth Sent Invites on 4th Feb)
Were there any other questions he asked that other candidates should be prepared for ?? (Considering he will be taking interview for R2 shortlisted applicants in Delhi)

Best of luck for other applications.
