Does anyone know roughly what percentage of invited interviewees get admitted?

roughly 40~50% based on an acceptance rate of 20~25%? Booth claims they interview half of the applicants, so the math works out to be roughly 40~50... but probably varies year by year

Had my interview last Thursday with an alumna here in Sao Paulo. The interview last ~ 45 minutes and the questions were pretty standard:

Walk me through your resumé
Why MBA
Why Booth
How will I contribute to the community/learning teams
ST goals and my plan B
Strengths and weaknesses
Tell me about your hobbies
Any questions?

Cheers

I just had my off-campus interview, very kind alumna

Why MBA? Why now? Why Booth?
What characteristics a leader should have and if I think I have some of these
A time when I had to motivate someone, how did that person react and how did I react after that
A question about one of my ECs that she found interesting
How did I prioritize when I have to do or choose among many things (then we talked about the many things we can choose at Booth)
How I see myself in 5 years
What I do in my free time
Questions for her

I think it was ok (not bad, not amazing)..... now just wait 38 days :(

So are all decisions released on the same day? Or do they start creeping out a little before?

Had my interview last Friday, my interviewer was really friendly.

Questions

Tell me about your personal interests
Tell me about what you do at work
How do you persuade people at work
How do yo negotiate with other senior guys in these deals? What are some of your techniques?
Tell me about a time when you worked in a team when people didn't get along?
Why Booth?
Any questions for me

Hope it helps,

Cheers!

I'm going and wearing a suit.

I'm going and I'm planning on wearing dress shirt/pants + tie. Then I'll crack out the suit for the interview on Saturday.

I'm taking a 6AM flight from NYC to Chicago on Friday morning and heading right to Booth from the airport, and I don't want to be wearing my only suit ( :-D - I'm a tech guy!) for 14+ hours the day before the interview.

Maybe I'm wrong and I should wear my suit both days, but I feel like if they ding me solely for not wearing a blazer on Friday then I don't want to go there anyways.

I wanted to chime in on this suit-or-no-suit discussion. By my read, the invite is clear. "Dress Code: Smart/business casual recommended. Please wear comfortable shoes, as you will be exploring different parts of Harper Center." However, you may want to wear a jacket for practical reasons - it's cold; it will be roughly 30 degrees (not factoring in wind chill)

I'm just wearing my suit both days. Why not?

Wow, tough questions. I hate those behavioral ones. Also the personal interests one, my days are always packed with stuff to do, but I still don't know how to answer it!

Nah, i'm 100% not wearing a suit. It says no need, no need. There's no jedi mind games going on here. With that being said, wear a suit if you're going to be a nervous, sweaty wreck in a sports jacket.

Yeah, but ironically I did quite well on my behavioral part to be frank. I think I put some strong stories about my professional experience.
I was however less impressive with the personal stuff or the Why Booth.
Of course not bad, but not crystal clear as I expected.

I don't think you'll get some of these questions. I get the feeling that the negotiations and persuasions were follow up questions that relate to the type of transactions I'm involved in.

Cheers!

Banking? I'm PE so it could come up (though I'm only getting into my first deal now).

Just want to mention how pumped I am for super saturday. Going to be a long day though, 6 AM flight in from the east coast and 9 AM flight out. I figured sleeping on the plane was a better bet than 8 people in a room at a hostel, and unfortunately I'm not in a position to shell out a few hundred bucks on the trip with saving for grad school.

I'm really pumped about the interview (I did score the after lunch slot with an early registration), it seems very straightforward and I have a lot of experiences to share! Glad to see there aren't a lot of 'curveballs'. If you do get one, my strategy on those has always been to lead my answer back to my resume and experiences to augment any points made.

Best of luck everyone. It would be great if we could all be future admits, it seems like everyone here is incredibly qualified.

Had my interview today on campus. Overall it was very conversational and pleasant.

1. Tell me about yourself
1a. This essentially was my resume walk-through. My interviewer had a lot of followup questions that came out of this one, especially around a small business I started and a genre of fiction I listed in my personal interests
2. Why MBA
3. Why Now
4. Why Booth
4a. Every person I talked to said this was the most important question. My friend who is a 1st year, as well as four people I met during my class visit all told me to sell this point, and two actually asked me to walk them through my planned answer and gave me some feedback which was really helpful. My interviewer asked me this then followed up with a tangent question so I ended up asking if we could get back to this point b/c I felt like I hand't gotten enough of an opportunity to talk about what excited me at Booth.
5. What has your performance feedback told you to improve on in your job?
6. ST and LT career goals
7. My questions

Hope that anyone who has yet to interview finds this helpful.
