3 year JD/MBA applicant here, anyone else out there applying to this program?

Submitted 12/8 but was listed as incomplete pending receipt of a recommendation. My reviewer submitted 12/21 but I wasn't marked as complete until today when I called to ask about my status.

I'm, but I have a feeling MBA adcom decision is largely dependent upon acceptance to JD program.

I have the same feeling. My LSAT is reasonably competitive, but my GPA is at the low end of consideration for CLS. Here's to hoping that they give us some credit for our work experience, etc...

Yes but the caveat is that some some applications take longer to evaluate.

Thanks for the reply. I did not submit the application yesterday. But will be submitting by this weekend. I hope this does not jeopardize my chances at CBS. :?

yeah, that's what I'm hoping. I was WL at CLS last year because I applied too late (mid Jan), or at least, I'd like to think that was the ONLY reason why I was WLed. But then again, CLS is notorious for putting everyone on WL.

Good luck this year. Keeping my fingers crossed that we are among the few who will be in the first 3 year JD/MBA class.

Deferred applicant got ding...I think I am the first one here :(

Sorry to hear that. When were you deferred? I believe I was one of the first deferred candidates here in early October. Still have not heard anything.

Interview was about 45min to an hr. Fairly formal setting, as I met my alum at his office. He is pretty high up in real estate and he was not a very casual guy so that also led to the interview being somewhat formal. But it was pleasant. He read questions off a list and took notes while I spoke, not too much back an dforth, he mostly listened and made occasional remarks.

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why MBA
3. Why Columbia
4. Tell me about an ethical dilemma. (And he kind of prefaced it with a "they require me to ask this")
5. What do you do outside of work?
6. Tell me a time you faced adversity.
7. Questions for him.

Like i said, very straightforward. I think I did pretty well but I could have been more eloquent on some questions. I think I was expecting a little more of a relaxed chat but it really felt much more like an interview with him. He told me he would submit feedback in a few days and I should hear back in about a week. He said good luck on the way out, and that was it!

Now it's back to waiting....
