Interview was about 45min to an hr. Fairly formal setting, as I met my alum at his office. He is pretty high up in real estate and he was not a very casual guy so that also led to the interview being somewhat formal. But it was pleasant. He read questions off a list and took notes while I spoke, not too much back an dforth, he mostly listened and made occasional remarks.
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why MBA
3. Why Columbia
4. Tell me about an ethical dilemma. (And he kind of prefaced it with a "they require me to ask this")
5. What do you do outside of work?
6. Tell me a time you faced adversity.
7. Questions for him.
Like i said, very straightforward. I think I did pretty well but I could have been more eloquent on some questions. I think I was expecting a little more of a relaxed chat but it really felt much more like an interview with him. He told me he would submit feedback in a few days and I should hear back in about a week. He said good luck on the way out, and that was it!
Now it's back to waiting....
