aaaand it's a no from Columbia... figured as much. why they took all 6 weeks to arrive at that is beyond me. doesn't sting as much as I thought. Good luck to all!

Just got an interview invite a few minutes ago. Applied on 1/24. I guess there is hope for those who applied late. Any advice on interviews (feel free to send me a message if that is easier)?

For those who've already interviewed, do you know the expected range of days within which we should expect feedback to be submitted? It's been 4 days since I interviewed, so wondering if and when I should follow up, or does Columbia cover that?

i waited 7 days after my interview for feedback, then sent a polite email to my interviewer asking what "next steps" might be. He submitted the feedback a couple of hours after that.

Then the 10 day or so wait until a decision was killer!

Thanks for the reply, and congrats on your acceptance! I selfishly want her to submit feedback ASAP so that I can get started on the 10 day waiting.... but I suppose I'll have to be patient. :-D

Checked my status today and saw that I didn't get in. I felt like my interview didn't go that well but that was because the alum I interviewed with said that an MBA is just a time to party which threw me off. I wonder what she said... I should have picked an older alum to interview with. I wish it could have been admissions instead.

At least I got an acceptance today, too.

Got dinged at Columbia (early decision) but accepted at Stern. Should I go to Stern or wait for a year and apply for CBS again?
Marketing background, want to break into management consulting.

I had a horrible interview with an alumnus as well. I agree that interviewing with AdCom is a much better experience.

Apparently, after the interview these alums fill out a short questionnaire about the candidate ranking him/her on a 1-5 scale for things like career potential, fit with the school, likelihood of the candidate staying actively involved upon graduation, etc. They also write a few paragraphs explaining their rankings.

Go to Stern. CBS next year is not a guarantee and stern is an amazing school. You will be able to break into MBB from stern.
