Did anyone else get a status update email today? I got one about 45 mins ago (6 days after my interview and feedback submission) but there is no update. From those who have gotten good or bad news, is this common?

Yeah I got the same thing at the same time, though assumed it was because my interview feedback was just submitted yesterday. Weird...

I got an email this morning from CBS, apparently the email to me was an error related to the software the school uses. This is actually the second errant message sent to me (the first was shortly after I submitted my app stating it was incomplete), both resulted in mild panic.

Back to waiting anxiously.

Looks like this thread has died down -- for anyone interested, here's my timeline:

Application submitted: 1/7
Interview invitation: 2/4
Interview: 2/12
Admission: 3/6

Was a very anxious wait at the end!

Would you mind sharing when your interview feedback was submitted? A 22 day wait seems quite long compared to what I've been seeing from others on this thread...

I got a phone call on the evening of day 12. I think they're fairly good about it.

Thanks, anyone else out there waiting on a decision after an interview in the last few weeks?

I interviewed on Feb 20th but my feedback wasn't submitted until Mar 4th, so I've been waiting a while. Also, from what I've observed, AdCom has been taking a bit longer to render final decisions recently, as logically there are fewer spots left in the class. I believe a user above waited 16 days post-feedback submission before getting the call...

Wishing good vibes to all those still waiting!

Generally, for any internationals dealing with Visa issues, R3 should be avoided. Moreover, there are a few seats left so you'll be in a better position coming fall.

Even you'll find that schools don't really encourage internationals to apply in R3 for all these constraints.

Best of luck!

Hi,

I'm planning to apply for the Jan 2016 intake. I was wondering if someone could tell how difficult is it for someone to transition to a new industry without gaining the summer internship.

Ideally I would have liked to apply for the fall 2015 intake. However that didn't happen and now ideally I would not like to wait for another year so I'm looking at applying for the Jan intake. I've been working in India for the last 6.5 years in business development and strategy implementation and would like to pursue an MBA to transition to a career in management consulting. If I get admitted to the Jan intake then my plan is to give up my current job and pursue a consulting internship for 3-6 months.

Thanks

Long time lurker here. GMATclub was such a fantastic resource for me that I thought I'd share my stats here for current and future applicants.

Here's my timeline:
2/21 Application Submit
3/9 Interview Invite
3/20 Interviewed
3/20 Feedback Submitted
4/2 Acceptance

Despite what most people would advise, It's not too late. ED is obviously a much safer gamble but if you know you have a compelling story and can pour your heart into the application, then you should go ahead and swing for the fences. Good luck to all who are waiting/applying!!

Congrats to everyone who has been admitted so far and good luck to those of you still going through the process! I'm excited to share that https://www.tripweave.com has officially launched. We are bringing awesome pre-MBA travel experiences to a select group of schools that don't yet have them, including Columbia. Signups are currently open for trips taking off this fall (options include Iceland, Tanzania and Thailand, among others), so please check out our site or email us at [email protected] to see if any of our trips pique your interest!

Hi all, a couple questions about Columbia:

- I'm planning to apply for 2017 intake ED. when should i start preparing my application?
- When is the best time to visit Columbia? I will be flying from overseas, so thorough planning is crucial.
