Sorry to hear that.
I guess, the best thing of being informed this early is that one has plenty of time to research and prepare R2 applications to other schools!
The last two posts sound like the emails are being sent out before noon ET, which is late evening to around midnight in Asia.
Is this correct? I wouldn't have to bother during working hours then, but could focus on work some more![/quote]

this is for someone based in APAC (hong kong, china, singapore etc.)
From going through the older posts, 12pm~130pm EST seems to be the time they call candidates on both westcoast and eastcost
I guess, the best thing of being informed this early is that one has plenty of time to research and prepare R2 applications to other schools!
