Some musings

Tuck - a friend told me admit calls from Adcom will begin on Thursday

Anderson - round 1 deposit deadline is due Wednesday. With The draft being today, this means that consortium may see releases (as well as some other normal r2 as some have been accepted already ) on Thursday and Friday perhaps?!

I received an email from the NYU MBA admission office regarding my GMAT retake;scheduled for March 16th. The Admission office mentioned they will withhold any further decision till my GMAT score. Is this a sign of possible admission, I am being too hopeful, or is all the CGSM money gone? All the schools I applied to flat out rejected me (Yale, Cornell, Tuck, )

I too am re-taking the GMAT and Stern has also placed my application on hold. I don't think this is a sign of possible admission, but I do think it is a positive sign that they didn't just give us a ding without considering our possible improvement.

I asked the adcom from USC that interviewed me about a decision timeline and he said Consortium applicants will be hearing back in the next week or two as far as he knows, though I know a couple here got some acceptances already. Seems like it's been pushed back a bit?

I've only heard back from McCombs (WL), nothing from Darden or USC thus far. Does anyone know what those timelines might be, either fellowship or no fellowship?

Anxiety abounds! - good luck everyone.

When I interviewed at Darden, they told me that they would release decisions on March 20 for Consortium applicants. Seems a little late than most other Consortium schools.

Hopefully they'll call candidates re: fellowship decisions this week (i.e., if awarded).....

What percentage of admitted consortium applicants receive fellowships. Are there any schools that typically give out more fellowships than others?

This question as already been asked a few times but here's the response again...

Last year there were 380 full-tuition fellowships granted according to cgsm.com with no reference to number of applicants. Here's a more detailed article on the 2011 draft: https://bx.businessweek.com/kellogg-scho ... 26f%3D9791 (2011 Summary: 3,011 applications to member schools, 980 applicants, 491 admitted to at least 1 member school, 323 offered fellowships, and an additional 152 offered membership only.)

According to another user: "I was told my CGSM rep that last year 1,000 apps, 500 cgsm members with 380/500 got full fellowship."

In terms of number fellowships per school, that seems to vary every year. I would review the "Calling All Consortium 2012" if you want to gain a sense of your specific school but at this point, speculation is worthless. Stats won't change an individual outcome... what will be will be. Best wishes to everyone! We will all be put out of our anxious misery soon enough

Thanks for the response. I know that what will be will be but unfortunately, I cant stop speculating. My productivity has taken a hit at work today.

So I finally got access to my account. I'm on the Waitlist at McCombs too. Lol. Sheesh. It seems a whole bunch of us are.

I'm going on vacation in 2 days. So I'm hoping when I return next week that I will have better news from UNC.

I'm becoming a nervous wreck lol... I just read all 100+ pages from last year's "Calling all Consortium" discussion... even though the Draft takes place this week, calls can begin as early as this week to as late as end of March... I'm super glued to my phone waiting to see if Cornell, NYU, or Emory will come through for me. I can't see myself turning down the Consortium fellowship from any of them... 100k+ is 100k+ :/

Yeah :/ Not even sure what to expect from a Waitlist situation, hopefully a better option comes through. It seems like all WL's just get pushed into the next round to help round out the class no?
