I completely forgot about doing a follow up thank you email to my interviewers at Cornell until just now. Oops. Better late than never right? Though I highly doubt it will have any effect on whether or not I get in. But I did appreciate the interview, so at least they know.

I didn't know they called people. My interviewer told me that I'd be getting an email on Friday. Maybe that means I'm going to get dinged though and all of those would be emails...

She didn't tell me either way. She just said the decisions would be out on friday maybe not until the afternoon and I'd probably get an email saying my status had changed on the website. But if people are reporting phone calls and that's how admits are contacted than maybe she knew right at the interview she'd ding me and just told me about the email. But most likely I'm just reading way too much into it since I have too much time on my hands waiting for tomorrow, hahaha.

They could be calling the admits as we are here wondering. It could be just that the admits aren't speaking up for whatever reasons.

We'll all get the status update tomorrow, so an admit call today would be above whatever they do.

Schools do this all the time. Kavet, on the flip side, the interviewer knew you were getting in and told you not to expect a call so you get surprised.

They say not to expect a call, so that if they do get real busy, they have no obligation to call admits.

I am sure they will still be contacting people tomorrow. Don't give up hope yet! I do find it curious that nobody on this forum has heard anything yet. Or at least isn't talking about it.

yeah, i suppose. honestly i didn't feel like i aced the interview though. i did, however receive a reply to my thank you note from my interviewer yesterday. it was something on the lines of "i wish you the best..." sounded like a pity email. lol.

I just received a call asking me to consider the Accelerated MBA program. I had some reservations but I have decided to take the option. Has anyone else applied for the Accelerated MBA program here?

Did they say you were admitted to that but not the 2 year and if you didn't accept you would be dinged? If you are staying in your field then it might be a great option for you.

The gist was that the applicant pool is very competitive for 2-year and with my background, I would be a great fit for Accelerated. I was asked about it in my interview but I guess I did not convince them well. Having talked to a few alumni, I think it's still a good option for me. I have no plans of moving into IB.

Well congrats svrider, it may not be exactly what you wanted but it could be for the best and remember and Admit is still an Admit...they must have thought highly enough about you to ask you to consider the other program.

I did apply for the accelerated program. I hope they don't tell me that the Accelerated program is very competitive, how about 2 year program :)

Well, I am in round 2 anyway, so I think I have another month till I have an interview and come to the decision point

Just got the call. I am in for the Accelerated program with a decent scholarship to boot. They offered me $45K for tuition!
