It probably is something similar to a voting system in that each member of the committee will voice their concerns/praise. I just think he didn't want people to get the image of people raising their hands and defeating candidates based on a 5-4 margin (or however big the committee is) since as he mentioned that is a fairly crass way of doing things. I think he was just trying to imply there is discussion amongst the committee and not just a simple vote of yes or no on each file with no reasoning behind the vote.

i know what you're saying, but i was basically sarcastically implying that it is a vote in essence.

Why... why send me financial aid tips if I haven't been admitted... argh!

On the plus side at least they haven't removed me from the email database... so not dinged just yet

But seriously... couldn't you just include this in the admissions letter instead of getting everyone all freaked out? Ah well, maybe they just like to keep us on our toes which is certainly their perogative.

Hopefully everyone got the email I'm referencing so I don't look totally nuts right now.

guess that's the end of the road for me. Man....I really thought I'd get an interview. Did they only send it to people who have interviewed maybe?

I got the email and I haven't interviewed yet (but did receive an offer to interview).

It must be folks who have received an interview invite.

I interviewed and I didn't get the e-mail. So it probably means nothing.

Wowza, so that means R2 application volume was DOWN? Because R1 was up between 10-20% and if they're even, then have to have received less applications in R2.
