what did the email say? i got notified of being a Park Fellows finalist, but that was over the phone.
Dear XXXX,
I'm sorry to report we are unable to make you a scholarship offer at this time. The high number of applications received made the selection process rigorous and highly competitive for our limited merit-based scholarships. We have placed you on a waitlist for scholarship funding and will begin to notify scholarship waitlisted students of their status on April 23.
We understand your admissions deposit date falls before the notification date. You will need to make your enrollment commitment before we award scholarship to candidates on our waitlist. Scholarship funding is not guaranteed to candidates on our waitlist. Candidates are selected to receive scholarship if funding is available. I regret that we will be unable to grant an admission deposit extension based on your scholarship waitlist status.
Merit-based awards represent just one component of your financial aid package. Please consider funding from sources outside the Johnson School. You can explore the possibility of scholarship from outside sources, such as a company, foundation or government. You should start this search early, as many scholarships have application deadlines. The Internet is a great resource for free scholarship information.

I have a feeling that it seems generic, and I'm hesitant to contact them right away for questions given their busy schedule. I just thought if everyone received the same email, it could save me some time.
