To everyone who has been dinged or waitlisted, I want to share something interesting.
B-School admissions, not just Cornell, are very subjective. Every single B-School student agree with me on this. How does the same applicant gets dinged in one year and get accepted the next? Once you meet the GMAT+GPA hurdle, it is all about how good are your essays and how well you interview. Truth be told, it also helps to be young and good looking. JGSM has some VERY good looking people and I don't think that is my accident. Again, I want to emphasize this is not just for Cornell Johnson, but every top school I have visited.
I feel very fortunate and by no means do I think I am better than those who have been waitlisted or dinged.
