They release the results on the deadline date for everyone.

Got the ding this morning :(

Hey don't give up. You lose only if you quit.

You must keep your head up high and fight the tendency to feel sorry for yourself.

Make a strategic plan to overcome your deficiencies and maybe even try again next year.

Thanks JinJJA! I'll be shipping to Kelley this fall and am more than happy :-D

Hi, prasaadks

Yesterday I received the same email saying "received all required documents for your application". But when I check my online application profile, the GMAT score shows "Not Received." Actually I confirmed with GMAC about the score delivery.

Any one has the similar situation? Should I contact the adcom for it?

Thanks~

To everyone who has been dinged or waitlisted, I want to share something interesting.

B-School admissions, not just Cornell, are very subjective. Every single B-School student agree with me on this. How does the same applicant gets dinged in one year and get accepted the next? Once you meet the GMAT+GPA hurdle, it is all about how good are your essays and how well you interview. Truth be told, it also helps to be young and good looking. JGSM has some VERY good looking people and I don't think that is my accident. Again, I want to emphasize this is not just for Cornell Johnson, but every top school I have visited.

I feel very fortunate and by no means do I think I am better than those who have been waitlisted or dinged.

I applied in R2 but still have not received decision on my application. After talking to app manager I found that my interviewer has not filled the i/v critique yet. It has been more than 20 days since I had my interview and now I am afraid that the interviewer will just fill an avg feedback as he might not remember the discussion/interaction we had on that day..

I have also reminded him to provide the feedback asap but still have not received any response..

Should i request for another interview ? what would be the best thing from here ?

PS : I can't stop cursing my i/ver.

Hey flycolors,

It says the same for me as well. There is a status update as well on the same page saying that they have received all my documents and have started reviewing it. So I suppose they just have'nt updated the status. I am assuming there is nothing to worry about, as long as they have sent you a mail confirming the receipt of your documents.

Got the admit!

Did an interview with Ann Richards over the phone from Beijing. There were no local interviewers available for face to face. Seeing one of the prior posts about Cornell having very subjective interview results for good looking people makes me very thankful that no one had to see my ugly mug.

Hi there,

I am a R3 applicant that just received an interview invite this AM.

The email sounded a bit like they had already requested one and I neglected to respond:
"The Admissions Committee has requested that I contact you to schedule an on campus interview as soon as possible."

Is that just the general/standard message that gets sent out? Or did I miss an earlier note?

First, congrats on your admit!! I was rooting for you!

And second, I completely agree with you. There are so many variables at stake with a process like this. I was thinking about it yesterday while sorting through resumes submitted for a new position here at work. We had an insane number of responses to a single craigslist ad, and I was throwing people in the dismiss pile for some pretty arbitrary reasons. I'm sure all of the schools are dealing with a huge number of applicants, and some highly qualified candidates will be dinged.

Having said that, I KNEW I should have stopped at the mall for a makeover on the way to my interview....

Congrats on the invite! I think that's their standard message.

Thanks, Alpha!

Krnguy228- I applied on the deadline for R3, literally moments before midnight.
