Yeah, I hear you. Just got the same "meet and greet" e-mail that they mentioned in the "2010" thread too. Crazy how they're calling 3 days before the notification date this year. I figure R1 can't have more than 100 admits, right? Just by the admits on this forum, figured they at least ran through half of them today. Looks like tomorrow is probably the only other call day then. :sigh:

I don't know if today was mainly for internationals and west coasters? It seems the majority of the admits today were internationals which would make sense if they want to do the calls for everyone on Friday Dec 17th... I think tomorrow there should be more calls for east coasters... I hope at least. But per last years post they call well into the night till like 7pm EST. Fingers crossed.

You're talking about the first admit on last year's thread with the 7pm call, right? Wasn't clear if that person was east coast or west coast. Hard to imagine admissions working past 5 pm.

Well, that is true I don't know what he was assume he was east coast because otherwise it would be 10pm for admissions calling cause they are east coast. I am going nuts trying to rationalize this situation; like what if they call while im in the elevator, what if they call while im on the subway... oh well we will find out soon hopfully. But I assume they may have calls on Monday since the deadline is the 21st of Dec. :?

I assumed it was west coast 7pm, ithaca 4 pm. That sounds more reasonable. I wish they would release the results at the same time in the database. No harm in letting people they got dinged earlier. Better than not knowing.

In any case, there's def. NY people that got in today. I really doubt adcom would go through the trouble of prioritizing calls by region.

Straight from the source (a she!), I'm on the east coast and got my 7pm call last year while I was at my company's holiday party! Good luck everyone... :)

hey guys. just found a strange clue that the admitted in China all conducted interviews either late Nov. or days ago.
Wondering any one who was interviewed in Oct got admitted? :roll:

I didn't know they made calls to inform admits!!!
I got two missed calls from a private number yesterday.. I typically don't answer those cause it'd be my ex stalking me HAHA.
I am so worried now, I am not sure if it was them trying to call!!
I guess I'll have to see if they call back today or just wait till the 21st.
