inkubus, based on my friend's darden experience, circa 2000, they do call even international applicants. i'm hoping not much has changed over 10 years, especially since communication has only gotten easier and cheaper.

in her video blog, sara neher mentions tht decision emails wil go out 1201AM on the 28th..so is tht only for wl/rejects or for all?

Does anyone have any tips on communicating with the Darden admin office? This school is far and away my top choice based on atmosphere, curriculum and network; I'd like to express that in any way possible.

Obviously submitting additional materials beyond what is asked for is a double edged sword. They could love it or they could be annoyed. But, I get the impression, and alum have told me, that Darden really values its alumni community and their input (every school says this, but whatever), so how about having an alum you know send an additional letter saying "this guy is really committed, I know he would be a great fit, he's told me how much he loves darden, just want to offer an additional endorsement, etc. etc." That way it's not just more of the same from you?
