This is probably a really dumb question, but bear with me, I'm trying to make sure I have ALL my bases covered.

Darden ONLY sends out interview invites via e-mail, correct? I ask because I received 5 'unknown' calls to my iphone yesterday in the span of 5 hours. I know some schools have blocked numbers when they call, but that is usually only for admit calls.

Not a dumb question at all. I went through the same exact thinking/recapping stage while I was waiting. As far as I know, every interview is sent out via email (no phone calls have been reported at all). However, the admits will get the phone call. Good luck!!!

Hi there, within this thread you can certainly discuss about strategies with the application and interview process. The interview is quite informal, and is held on Darden grounds. You get to really enjoy the atmosphere and what Darden can offer you and naturally, you'd be curious to see as well what your $100,000 tuition is going to for the next two years. As indicated by multiple sources, including our own interviewees (myself as well), the interview itself is really circling one main problem - "tell me your story". Many interviewees were given this question and the natural flow of this interview quickly turns into a conversation. The interviewer will then ask questions in regards to your background, history, education, work experiences, and decisions that made you who you are today. My pointer for any person going into Darden interview is to be prepared to talk about your life. You can pretty much start wherever you would like to start, but you have to be able to discuss choices you've made and learnings you've absorbed throughout. :-D

For round 1, the school sent a ding message after 2 months from the deadline:

Deadline: Oct 20
Message sent: Dec 19

I understand that very few invitations were still sent just before Dec 19.

That information is pretty much accurate.

"Tell me your story" is the standard question from Darden AdCom interviews.
