I guess referees are not required to have official mail id with domain as there are so many businesses around the world, which either don’t use it or can’t afford it.
But yes it gives reliability to university about legitimacy.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a referee with official mail ID but the other one won't have. Maybe i can try for both the LOR from same organization?
Also does the candidature stand nullified if the referee submits a response after round deadline?

I have same situation as one of my referee is from public ltd company and another one is from private ltd company.
I would suggest you to provide from different organisations as it would provide university with different aspects of your work done throughout your career.
